I eagerly walked toward the park, Chester trotting beside me. I don't know why, but I really wanted to see this boy. I let my music blare in my headphones as I crossed the sidewalk and I turned toward the park. I saw the boy, but he was walking away. My heart sank when I realized I came just a little to late. I continued my walk home, disappointed.

I was sitting, fiddling with my pencil at my desk during my social studies class. I already took this class last year, so I didn't really need to pay attention. Mr. Abrams loved me anyway, I completed all the assignments before.
"Okay, listen up class. I know, this doesn't technically work as a 'new student' thing, but Brendon here just transferred classes so he's joining us now." I looked up from my desk and was met with the familiar dark brown eyes. What a coincidence.
Mr. Abrams said something to Brendon that I couldn't read, and he pointed at me. My eyes widened and Brendon nodded, and started walking toward me. He smiled and sat at the empty desk right behind me. I went back to fiddling with my pencil,
"Hey." he said. I turned around,
"Hi."
"What's your name?" he asked, genuinely interested.
"Cassidy." I almost stuttered, but I caught myself.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Cassidy." he smiled, his white teeth perfectly aligned. His hair fell perfectly over his forehead and I smiled back, and turned around. I doodled random things in my notebook until the bell rang.
I practically ran out of the class, my heart fluttering so much I felt like it was going to explode. I didn't know what to do, I've never had a boyfriend before. I've never felt this way about someone before.
