Chapter 10

Happy with Levi's answer, Erwin smiled.

"Very well. You have 1 hour to pick up your stuff and be ready to leave to the headquarters of the Survey Corps." Erwin said.

The other soldiers came to you to take the chains out of your wrists. The guy that had captured you came closer to you.

"Sorry if I hurt your arm. I didn't intended too, but I must say, you are a good fighter." he said.

"It's ok" you answered. You didn't really care about what he had to say. You hated them all, especially Erwin.

As soon as you were free, the Survey Corps' members accompanied you to your house. Once there you gathered your clothes and the few things you had in a bag. The four of you reunited in the living room for the last goodbye to the house you had lived for the last years.

"This is it guys." You said. You forced a smile even if your arm was still in pain.

"A new life is waiting for us up there." Farlan said.

"Hell yeah! We are going to be rich!" Isabelle happily said.

"Don't speak so loud idiot." Levi said

In that moment Erwin entered the house.

"Are you ready?" he asked.

The four of you nodded and headed to the door. But before you could reach the door, Levi grabbed your right arm. You winced in pain since it was the arm that was hurting.

"Like I thought... That bastard hurt you didn't him?" Levi asked.

"Yes... But I'm fine Levi, please don't worry." you answered.

"Tch, once we get the head quarters I'll give it a look." he said.

"Thanks" you said with a smile. Levi would always be worried about the three of you, even if he didn't always showed it.

You walked out of the house for the last time, followed by Levi. This was the beginning of a new life.

Time skip

Once you got tho the head quarters, you were lead to a room and a soldier brought you the uniform of the Survey Corps. The four of you quickly changed clothes and when you were ready Levi came to you.

"Show me your arm." he said. You extended your arm to him. He looked at it and touched your elbow. The pain was so much that, by instinct, you step away from Levi. He sighed.

"It's displaced." he said "Come here so I can put it in place." he ordered. You came near him again and gently grabbed your arm once again. He looked straight at your (e/c) eyes. "This is going to hurt. Are you ready?"

You nodded in response. You felt Levi pushing and a strong pain shot through your arm. "Aaghh" you screamed. You heard your arm snapping for the second time that day. Then the pain loosened. It was still there but now it was bearable.

"Better?" Levi asked.

"Yes, thank you." you said.

In that moment a soldier opened the door.

"Follow me" he order.

Levi sent him a death glare, but the guy didn't notice it. You were lead outside were what seemed all the soldiers from the Survey Corps were. A guy with dark brown hair was waiting in front of the soldiers. You assumed it was Keith Shadis, the commander of the Survey Corps. Erwin had mentioned him in the trip to the head quarters. Once you reached him he turned to the soldiers.

"Attention all!" he said. "From today, these four will be fighting alongside you all! Introduce yourselves" the commander looked at the four of you.

Levi glared at Erwin that was in the crowd and said in is usual bored tone:

"The name's Levi"

"Levi... the first thing you'll need is some goddamn discipline." commander Shadis said. "Next."

"I'm Isabelle Magnolia! Nice to meet ya!" Isabelle presented herself in her happy tone.

"My name is Farlan Church" Farlan said trying to salute.

"I'm (y/n) (l/n)." you simply said.

"Flagon, these four will be assigned to your squad. Look after them." Shadis announced.

"M-my squad, sir?" A tall man with medium light brown hair from the crowd asked, incredulous. 'That must be Flagon' you thought. By the expression on his face you understand that he clearly didn't like the four of you.

"Are you dissatisfied?" Shadis said.

"N-no... But shouldn't Erwin..." Flagon stuttered.

"Erwin is tasked with the soldiers' formation. The new recruits will be your responsibility. Is that understood?" commander Shadis asked.

"Yes, sir. Understood." Flagon saluted. He then glared at Levi, like he was threatening him, but Levi just glared back, not really caring about what that man thought of him.

"Everyone is dismissed!" Shadis said. Then all the soldiers kept on doing whatever they were doing before they were summoned for that presentation. Flagon approached you.

"Follow me" he ordered. He lead you to the barracks. By now the sun was setting and the sky was with a orange color. You entered one of the barracks and Flagon opened the door to a room with several bunk beds.

"This are the barracks" he announced.

"There are quite a few." Farlan observed.

"Yay! We're all in the same room!" Isabelle exclaimed.

"Women have a separate section." Flagon said.

"What? But I wanna stay here!" she said.

"You two man will sleep here." Flagon said pointing to a bunk bed in the corner of the room. Levi approached the bunk bed and put a hand under the upper bed to check if was dirty. And of course it was.

"You lot have been living in the dumps of the underground but do try to keep this place clean." Flagon said. 'Oh shit' you thought. Levi quickly turned to Flagon with a death glare in his eyes.

"Huh?" Levi said approaching Flagon. Even if Levi was shorter than Flagon that didn't stop him.

"Wh-what's with that look?" Flagon said in a pissed voice tone. "How dare you approach a superior with that attitude"

Before Levi could answer, both you and Farlan stepped in the middle of the tow of them.

"Sorry" Farlan said. "Got it. We'll try to keep the place clean." he then saluted.

"Tch. You'll begin training first thing tomorrow, got it?" Flagon informed and left the room "And your hand is upside-down" he said to Farlan. Farlan switched his hand making a correct salute. When you were alone, Farlan turned to Levi.

"Don't pull any more stunts like that, Levi." he said. "We've got enough eyes on us already."

"Did you not hear what that piece of shit was spouting out of his piece of shit mouth?" Levi rhetorically asked.

"We weren't caught by accident, you know?" Farlan said. "I hope you haven't forgotten why we're here, Levi."

"Yeah, I know." Levi answered.

Sorry about the long wait guys! I was on vacation and my classes started almost right after I came back and I had to take care of everything.
