Along a deserted shore, there's a girl who waits.
She always sits on this huge rock. On it, the waves crash without reprieve.
The sea breeze rings against her eardrums, the wind blowing her stubborn curls.
She is a girl with high hopes.
She is a girl who clings to the smallest glimmer of light, cruel fate is giving her.
She waits and waits everyday, hoping she would see even just a shadow of her ship.
It has been a long time since her ship left her harbor.
That time, she didn't have any idea that her ship would sail without her.
And everyday that she sits on that rock, she wonders if her ship got lost at sea.
Will it find its way to her?
But this day was a different among all the days,
The waves are stronger. There was anger in every crash, in every smack.
Were the waves angry at her?
This girl gets wet with one strong crash of the waves.
She jumps off the rock, her dress was soaked all over.
The winds are furious.
She brings her hands to her chest, shielding herself from the cold.
Once more, she stares at the horizon.
She realizes that she witnessed almost every sunset in that place.
With the wind getting stronger and the waves madder,
She feels something.
Something that feels like drowning.
And she hadn't stepped into the waters.
The wind and the waves are like reprimanding parents, telling her to stop,
To stop waiting.
Her tears fell faster than the next crashing of the waves.
She felt that her ship will not find its way back to her harbor.
Because maybe,
It was not even her ship to begin with.
