She kept her eyes on the book. She noticed what Sam was doing. His foot kept nudging hers under the table. She smiled lightly letting him know she felt it but didn't get too distracted.

"Well I'm going to turn in", Dean said yawning and looking at his watch. It was 10:43. "Don't stay up too late", he said yawning. He ruffled Sams hair and patted Mara on the back.

"Night", Sam said watching Dean go up the stairs and hearing his footsteps recede. He looked down at the book and then up to Mara. Her hair shielded her face from his but he could still make out most of her features.

He smiled and got up. "Coffee", he asked. Mara looked up from her book and nodded smiling lightly. Sam went into the kitchen and quickly put coffee on the pot. He leaned against the counter sighing. He thought of the way she looked with her wings stretched out.

It was almost angelic. She looked like a goddess, like a Queen. Her eyes had glowed, literally. Her wings had felt soft and smooth like the skin on her back. It was a part of her. He liked it. He never thought he could like the monster part but he did.

The coffee pot buzzed signaling its finish. He took out his two favorite mugs and brought some sugar packets and creamer with him. Sam had trouble balancing everything and practically stumbled his way into the library.

Mara noticed and laughed lightly going over to help him. She grabbed a coffee cup and the sugar from him before sitting it down on the table. "I'm surprised you made it this far", she laughed sitting on the table. He sat down in a chair and faced her.

"I'm a hunter. I'm known for my balance", he said setting his coffee next to her hip.

"That's not what I saw when you fell from the vent", Mara laughed. Sam turned red lightly and groaned.

"That was a fluke", he mumbled.

"Sure it was", Mara said running a hand through his hair laughing. Sam tried to pout but couldn't and ended up smiling instead. Her hand pulled away from his now slightly rumpled hair.

Sam smiled up at her. He grabbed his coffee and in the process grazed her hip with his hand. He wanted to say it was a mistake but he'd be lying. His hand lingered for a second longer and then slowly put the cup to his lips.

"I found a case", Mara said lightly. She adds a bit of creamer to her coffee before putting a packet of sugar in it.

"Really", Sam asks raising his eyebrows and looking up at her over his cup. Mara nods.

"Woman was murdered. No signs of break in. Only other person in the house was her fifteen-year-old daughter", Mara explains.

"We could check in tomorrow. We should probably get some sleep", Sam says looking up at her eyes. He put his hand to her farthest knee to him.

Mara shivered lightly. "Yeah, probably", she whispers. Sam rubs his hand up her leg lightly and then he ran his hand down.

Sam stood up and put one of his legs between hers with his hand still on her knee. Mara tried to keep calm while her heart raced. She put the coffee to her lips and lightly sipped.

Sam chuckled watched her drink intently. She continued to drink practically chugging it all. Sam laughed and raised an eyebrow at her.

"You done yet", he smirked. Mara nodded and set down the cup.

"Was I interrupting something", she asked innocently. Sam just smiled and shook his head.
