She might seem like a normal girl
She might smile and laugh
But she's forced to put on a smile
Whether she likes it or not
Even behind locked doors
At night she wants to cry and hurt herself
But no tears come out
She can't hurt herself
Thats weakness and betrayal in her parents eyes
Her mother knows she's hurting deep down inside because she, herself, is hurting too
But her father shows no emotion
He doesn't care about anyone but himself
He doesn't care about his sons nor daughter
Her parents are divorced
Her father doesn't send any money, he thinks his ex wife and children can do everything themselves
For her birthday she receives letters
She finds them useless
Just like her dad finds her useless
Her mom works constantly trying to feed each of her children
Her older brother wants to get a job but none accepts him
She just wants to help but all she can do is take her meds everyday to make sure she doesn't feel depressed
Her depression gets in the way of everything
