Chapter 16

"Oh he's my ex." Aimée said. "He's your ex?" You asked. Aimée nodded. "Is it not weird being around him?" "Not really. I mean we don't have a romantic or sexual attraction anymore and we ended the relationship well. We've been friends since then." Aimée replied. "I guess that's fine then. Sorry this wasn't any of my business." You apologised. "Its okay really." Aimée said. "So have you found anyone since you broke up?" You asked her. "I've been on dates but I haven't found anyone I have a connection with." She replied sounding a little sad. "I'm sure you'll find somebody soon." You reasured her. She smiled and thanked you.

Your POV

"So are you in a relationship or have you found anyone?" Aimée asked me. I looked down blushing. I do like someone but they dont like me. They never will like me. I wasn't blushing anymore but I knew I was frowning.

"Who is it?" Aimée asked. I didn't know this girl but I knew I could trust her for some reason. "Please tell me." She begged. I gave in and decided to tell her. "You know Dan Howell?" I asked. "Was that the awkward guy from the taxi?" Becky asked. "Yeah it's him." I replied. "Oh my god. I know him. He's Pj's friend right?" She asked. "Yeah they're good friends." I said. Aimée looked around to make sure no one was listening.

"Well I've liked Dan for a few years now even though we met like last month. I was a big fan of his and Phil's videos. Anyway we were getting along great. I know he didn't like me the way I liked him. We were still good friends though." I looked down. "Why haven't you asked him out then Y/N?" Becky asked.

"A few weeks ago I want shopping with Phil. It was raining and me and phil shared an umberella. The phandom took photos of us and posted them on every social media. Everyone thought we were dating. Even Dan thinks we're dating." I looked down again. I feel like crying. "Why don't you tell Dan you're not dating Phil?" Aimée asked. "I would but Dan won't even look at me. How am I meant to have a conversation with him about this?" I buried my head in my hands. Aimée pulled me into a hug. I thanked her for being so nice to me.

We exchanged numbers and tried to forget about Dan. We went and got more drinks. I had a few more drinks before I started having more fun. Becky got drunk really easily and went off somewhere. I think she was dancing. Aimée and me sat in the corner getting drunk and taking shots. We talked about random things that didn't make sense. I remember Phil and Becky dancing. Dan was dancing with Carrie. By now everyone was pretty much drunk. I remember getting a taxi around 1 with Dan, Phil and Becky but I don't remember anything else after that.
