Reading Can Hurt Chapter 9

Hey you guys sorry about the romance in my last chapter I thought Caden and Ashely should kiss once. Cause my other friends write some romances and I'm not a big fan of kissing or stuff like that. Lol!

"Seriously? How can you loose a book that, that you-" Ashely stopped and started thinking

"What?" I asked curiously

"Where did you toss it?" She asked looking around

"Umm....," I said thinking "In the living room?"

"What? Then why are we in your room? Come on lets go downstaires!" She said pushing me out of hey way

I followed her, I almost tripped over my foot and almost fell on to Ashely. But I caught myself on the railing before doing to much damage.

"Ok, where did you toss it at?"

"Like I was sitting here," I said pointing to the chair "and I threw the book on the this coffee table"

"Well I see nothing." She said tossing papers all over the place and into my face

I watched her, but she gave me an evil glare for not helping her so I got on my knees and dug threw the papers on the ground.

"Ugh!!! Its not here!" She said falling to the ground

I layed next to her "We cant give up!"

"I know we cant, I just don't know where it could be." She said

"Wait! Let me call my mom!" I said getting up from the floor

I ran to the kitchen where the phone was resting on the kitchen counter. I quickly grabbed it and dialed "952............" It rang a few times, while I was tapping my foot on the ground.

I heard a click on the other side "Caden?"

"MOM!" I said yelling loudly to make Ashley jump from the other room

"Wow! Caden calim down!" She said

"Im sorry but have you seen a book?" I asked her

"A what?" She asked me

"A book?" I said slowly like I was talking to a baby

"I heard you the first time, but I just don't know what book you are talking about." She said sounding annoyed

"Well a few days ago there was a book and the coffee table and-" I got interrupted by my mom

"Ohhhhh, yeah I've seen that book before." She said

"Well then where is it!" I asked and when I said that Ashely came running towards me looking all excited

"Sorry hun but I threw it out yesterday." She said sadly

"WHAT!" I yelled

"Shhhhhh." She quited me

"Right sorry but I was not done with it why would you do that?" I asked and I looked over at Ashely who had a sad look.

"I never seen you read before so I thought you were done with it so I threw it out." My mom responded to me

"Ok first of all no one throws out a book in the first place! I explained "And second you should of told me!"

My mom was quite "Well-"

I cut her off "Wait! Trash day was yesterday so that means.... Ugh its at the junk yard!"

"You wont see that book again." My mom said giggling.

"Mom! Its not funny! Its serous!" I said getting frustrated

"Sorry its true unless you want to go dumpster diving." She said

I paused and grined "That is exactly what I will do!"

"What are you going on about?"

"Sorry mom got to go see ya later." I then hung up the phone and turned to face Ashely

"Soooooooo?" She asked raising an eyebrow

"We are going to visit the dumpster!" I said smiling

She looked confused "What!?"

"We are going to go dumpster diving to find my book!" I said running towards the door

"No! No way! I'm not getting all dirty!" She said looking all mad

"Relax you don't have to I will." I said thinking about maybe bringing my swimsuit but I decided not to

"Fine! I will go but not getting all dirty and stuff." She said running towards me

"Alright! Lets go!" I said oping the door

It took a while to get there since I don't have a car. I rolled my eyes. Oh well I was going to ask if Ashely could drive us but I didn't want to be rude. I todely thought it was winter out so I was shivering the whole way there.

"We are almost there!" I called out to Ashely

She did not answer, I guess she did not hear me. When I was running I kept thinking why hasn't the killer come up in the news yet? Have the caught him? Did he run to another town to destroy? All I know is that we don't run into him.

We finally made it! We both walked towards the entrance

"Crap! Its locked!" Ashely said throwing the lock back to the door "Now how are we getting?"

"Oh come on do you ever think?" I said laughing

"I'm a straight A student I'm in all honors class! Of course I think!" She said pushing me

"Well sorry its just obviously how we get in." I said with a grin

"Well then how?" She asked

"We climb."

"What?"

"Oh come on you can climb?" I asked walking towards the gate

"I can I'm just not a athletic person." She said walking behind me

I was a little surprised about that last statement I have always thought about her as an athletic person but I shock my head away from that thought

 "Come on!"

"Fine!"

We climbed over and jumped to the bottom. No all I was hoping the guard dog wont catch us.
