Reading Can Hurt Chapter 7

I woke up as startled as a human being can be.

I thought to myself "I caused this, I caused everyone to be frightened be the serial killer!"

I cant believe that a book came to life, how can a book that seems so regular come out of a book and into the real life? Now that I think about it that one store was kind of freaky looking from the in and out. But how could of this happened how-

I cut myself off looking straight forward "Ashely!"

I was about to leave when everything that was happen cam to me. I cant go outside I have to wait till the town is safe. I looked at the clock and it said 7 o clock. It was been almost a day since the announcer came on. I guess its my lucky day....

"Attention the good news is that the serial killer has lefts this town." YES! I sigh of reaife cam out of my lips, but I knew there was going to be bad news.

He continued "But there is some bad news, there has been 5 more kills, to the family's they said not to mechen there names but all I can say is they were very young."

Awwwwww. That's so sad. I sat down on the couch and still watching the television.

"Now that he has left you now can leave your safely of your home to visit friends and anyone you wish to see." Then the news turned off and went to commercials.

I felt a horrible pain at the pit of my stomach, I did not want to leave my house but I needed to talk to Ashely. I ran upstairs to hear the phone ringing. I knew it was my mom again, so I picked it up quickly.

"Hey mom look I need to-" I got cutt off by a stranger

"Leave forever! Or you'll be next!" The stranger said hanging up the phone.

I has wide eyes when I heard the buzz in the background of the phone. Then the operator came on and started talking that's when I hung up. Was I next to die? Before I could think anymore the phone rang. This time I looked at who was calling me, it's my mom.

"Hey mom!" I said quickly

"Hi I will be home in a few hours." She said

"Ummm why not now?" I asked

"Sorry I need a ride home and she wont be home till later."

"Ok I understand."

"Why do you want me to come home right now?"

"No its fine I'm going to meet someone in like NOW." I said loudly

"Oh ok I will let you go then." Then I heard a click

"What not even a bye!" I yelled screaming into the phone, even though no one was listing. I rolled my eyes and I hanged up the phone.

I ran out of my house to go find Ashely. There was only one problem.... I don't know where she LIVES!

I yelled her name "Ashely! Ashely! Ashely! Ashely??? Where are you?" I could not find her anywhere.

I got super irritated! Where could she be..... WAIT! I have her number! I looked through my contacts looking for Ashely I saw:

Aaron

Alex

Anthony

Asher..... Hmmm I should text him later

Ashley

Yes! Found it, I quickly texted her saying "I need to tell you something!"

I waited for like 2 minutes, then I felt a vibration in my hand and Ashely texted me back.

She said "Ok, where should we meet?"

"At the park." I texted her back

"Alright see you in like 5 minutes."

I said "Ok"

And I ran quickly to the park and slipping, sliding and almost falling face first on ice. Ugh I hat the snow. I got there in 3 minutes, I guess I got there a little to early because she did not come till 5 minutes later.

I saw her in the distance and yelled "Ashely!"

She heard me and looked up from the ground. She had a puzzled look an her face and also looked like a confusing look to. She jogged towards me.

"Hey whats up? Why did you need to tell me?"

I wish I brought water I'm so thirsty but I had to tell her something that she might think I'm crazy and now never go out with me.

"You know that book store, right?"

"Right?" She said with a wide eyes

"I got a book." I said

"Yeah I know." She said looking surprised and relived at the same time

"No! I got another book!" I said yelling

"What?" She said not looking so relived anymore

"It was that book Charlies did not want me to get." I said putting my hands on her shoulders

"Ok first take your hands off me." She said wiping my hands

"Right, sorry." I said putting my arms by my side

"Ok start again, was it 'you cant trust anyone'? Was it that book?"  She asked

"Yes, and now the town is in danger because of me." I said looking down at the snow

"Ok first of all you stupid idiot! And second of all its not your fault its that stupid books fault, so don't left yourself own." She said putting 1 hand an my shoulder

"But everyone is-" She slapped my face

"Look! We can stop this and besides." She stopped

"What you ok?" I asked her

"Well I sorta of made you go back to that book store."

"What!" I said loudly

"Look he made me!"

"Who did/" I asked

"Charlies he out to get you!" She said shacking

"What why???" I shouted so loudly that people looked at me in a confused look

"Ok first off lets go to a quieter place and then we can talk." She said pulling me by my arm
