Michael's days had been pretty much the same. He helped around camp with some easy tasks Calum gave him and worked on the phone thirty minutes a day. He tried to use as little battery as he managed but he also wanted to extend his stay on the camp as much as he could. Michael was already healed but now Calum needed him to fix the phone, as soon as the phone was fixed Calum would throw Michael out.

Michael grabbed one more piece of wood and threw it in the cart loader, he was gathering wood for the bonfire, he was still in the camp but further away from the tents in an area where there were just some trees.

The sun was shining brightly, Michael knew it was February by the calendar Calum kept in his wall. It was only the fifth day of the month and the Australian summer was coming to an end soon but the heat seemed to increase day by day. Michael decided to call it a day when the sweat started dripping off his face at an alarming rate.

The tired boy started to walk back to where everyone was but stopped abruptly when he heard a high scream coming from a tent. It was a two person tent that was set a bit farther away from the rest. His hands dropped the cart and walked closer to the tent. His eyes widened and his breath got caught in his throat when he saw Alessa walking out of the tent holding the side of her face.

"M-Michael?" Alessa mumbled when she spotted the boy and quickly wiped under her eyes.

Before Michael could even say a word Parker stepped out off the tent and his arm was around Alessa's shoulders. "Is there a problem, babe?"

Alessa shook her head quickly but Michael scoffed. "Yes, there is a fucking problem, you hit her!" Parker was much taller and stronger than Michael but the smaller boy didn't seem to care as he grabbed Alessa's arm as gently as he could and pulled her away from Parker.

"Michael, it's alright, n-nothing happened, I tripped." Alessa smiled but allowed Michael to pull her anyways.

"Yeah, Michael, she tripped." Parker said loudly and grabbed his girlfriend's waist to get her away from Michael.

Michael was starting to get pissed, his mind kept screaming to grab his knife and just threaten Parker with it but his eyes noticed the gun on his belt.

His eyes then fell back on Alessa, her pretty pale face was now adorned with a red mark on the side that would soon become purple. "You're really a clumsy uh, Alessa?" His green eyes were still locked on her blue ones that were filled with tears but she smiled anyways and nodded. "Well, be more careful, I'm gonna get going." He grabbed the cart and walked away slowly.

Michael mentally slapped himself for leaving her there but he couldn't do anything at that moment, he couldn't just grab Alessa when Parker had the gun and looked like he was ready to use it. He thought about running to Halsey but the girl was way too unstable, she would probably grab a gun and shot Parker right there so he instantly thought about Calum, he was the leader, he'd know what to do.

He dropped the wood where the bonfire would take place later and ran around looking for Calum. Michael found the boy, twenty minutes later, studying a plant from what it seemed like a supermarket.

"Calum." Michael breathed out and fell, his knees hitting the grass as he sat beside Calum and he slightly leaned on Calum to regain his energy.

The tanned boy looked at Michael and furrowed his eyebrows. "Everything alright?"

"Can we talk privately please?" Michael asked when he noticed Blake and Ashton sitting around looking at the papers too.

Calum looked even more confused when he heard Michael's word but nodded instantly and helped the exhausted boy to his feet.
