There was an entire investigation of the Redtown house, after the police received the conversation recorded in the car. They were already quite certain that Neil Brown, was really Neil Redtown, and Jake Wilson, who took the blame 10 years ago, was innocent. The father's body was never found, and a short while after the incident, (the following day to be exact), A 'Neil Brown' moves to New York, not to mention how he wrote a book in the style of an autobiography describing how he killed his entire family then moved to New York, as well as marrying a woman with same name as the late Mrs. Redtown. It all seemed like too much of a coincidence.

The house itself was the same as it was 10 years ago. The only thing different is the bodies had been moved to a lab. The house itself had never been searched. Why would they have to? They'd found the murderer. So as they searched the house, they found a few items the police should probably have looked at before. A gun, a broken beer bottle, and a baseball bat. Each one was rotting in blood.

They sent each one off to be tested, and each came back with Neil 'Brown's' fingerprints.
