Oh...my...FLOOP!!! OVER 500 READS!! Woah...
Seriously guys, I'm shocked. 'HetaOni: The Second Group' didn't get to 400 reads for 3 months but this story has only been up since mid-September! Please put in the comments that you're reading this; I like to know my readers because... I don't know... xD
Anyway, here's the chapter!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ever since Monday, I've been sure to have Juli lock the dorm door after Bianca and I went to a class. Alfred had told the principal, who is actually Italy's grandfather, about what had happened and he said he would keep an eye open.
Today, which was Thursday, we got today and tomorrow off from our classes for a Halloween break. Bianca and I were even dismissed early from work and given Friday off!
So, before bed, we decided to chat about Al's party.
"So, what are you to go as?" Bianca asked me.
"I want to go as something freaky. Maybe a..." I trailed off into thought.
"A zombie." Juli suggested without looking up from her writing. "That would be scary."
"Yea! And how about you be Merida?"
"That would be very fitting! We are thinking about the Merida from the movie Brave, right?" Bianca asked.
"Yes, that Merida. All we would need to buy is a blue dress."
"What about a bow? Wouldn't we need to buy that, too?"
"I can make a bow with a branch and vines. I like doing it, too! I could even carve a carving into it with my pocket knife. And her hair, I could just not brush it in the morning." I snickered.
"Hey!" We all laughed because we all knew well how messy Juli's hair was in the morning. (Kat: I'm with ya, Juli...)
"That's cool. But what should I be?" Bianca asked.
"Maybe a... I got nuthin'."
"Okay; I'll be an 'I got nuthin' for Halloween."
I chuckled. "We'll look at what the store has when we get there, tomorrow."
*~The next day...~*
We headed into town. I took my wig off when we were a little ways away from the school. I kept a tight grip on Juli's hand in fear that she would run off.
"So, have you been thinking about what you are going to be?" I asked Bianca.
"I was considering being a gypsy but..." She thought for a moment. "I wanna be a cat."
I imagined Bianca dressed as a cat. "That would be... awesomely fitting! Let's see if the store has some cat stuff that's the same color as your brown hair." I smiled and we stepped into 'The Spirit of Halloween'. (That's my favorite Halloween store... EVAH!!)
We looked around for a while and, when Bianca had found everything but a tail, I saw from the from the corner of my eye Alfred walk into the store.
"Hey, Bianca," I whispered.
"Hmm?" she hummed.
"Follow me."
"Why?"
"You'll see..." I grabbed her and Juli's hands, led them to the other side of the aisle Alfred was looking at, and told them to watch and listen.
You know about how sometimes a Halloween store will set up around the store a "push here" button or pressure pad and something pops out of nowhere, screams, and scares the ducky out of you? (Yes, I meant ducky! Quack!)
I'm immune to them...
Lucky for me, Alfred was standing right in front of a hidden pressure pad. I snuck up behind him and pushed him.
"Hey! Who did- AHH!!" A fake spider the size of his head (not counting it's legs) popped out of the shelf right in front of his face.
I stifled my laugh for only two seconds before I lost it.
"Maria!"
"You should've seen your face!" I managed to say in between laughs. He looked around and sighed.
"Good. Nobody saw that," he said.
"I beg to differ."
Bianca and Juli came around the corner; Bianca had a smirk on her face and Juli had a bad case of "giggle-itus".
"I wasn't scared... I'M THE HERO!!" Alfred chuckled nervously.
I got control over my laughs and pointed at Alfred.
"This, Bianca," I started, "is Alfred F. Jones AKA America." I pointed at Bianca. "And this, America, is Bianca Vargas."
"Wait, did you say Vargas?!"
"Yes I said Vargas." Bianca and I quickly explained everything to Alfred. Dang, explaining thing over and over again is annoying...
"So, Bianca is possibly a part of Italy?" America asked me; I nodded. "Wow... But I'm still gonna get you back for scaring me."
"I thought you said earlier that you weren't scared," Bianca said with a smirk. America made a sour face and Bianca and I laughed.
*~45 Minute Time Skip~*
We stepped out of the store. The reason Alfred came to 'The Spirit of Halloween' was to buy a fake chainsaw. I held in a hand a bag which contained Juli's dress, "a bit" of make-up, and torn up clothes. Bianca had the other bag which contained cat ears, paws, and a tail. Alfred just held his fake chainsaw in his hand.
"Aren't people gonna be scared if you just hold that out in the open?" I asked him.
"Nah. It's a day before Halloween. I think people'll know it's a fake," he answered.
"M'kay." We walked back to the school but, of course, before entering, I had to stop for a moment to put my wig on.
