IMESSAGE

"Thank you."

I stepped down from the mic and looked down at everyone; the fans that had supported him through it all. Through me. I looked down at my hand and saw the ring, the sparkly diamond ring that would soon be replaced.

Luke started crying; his face red and irritated and Ashton had a smile on his face so wide that it looked like it hurt. Michael was crying too, and there he stood.

We weren't dressed up all fancy, he was wearing black jeans and his Maine shirt. I was wearing a white shirt and some boyfriend jeans that were cuffed. We were in our normal attire yet we were about to get married.

His eyes were watery as I walked towards him, and Luke dug in his back pocket until he pulled out two rings. I laughed a little, and bit back tears.

We had waited about a year to get married to see if that was really what we wanted. And here we were. Standing in front of thousands of people about to get married.

Luke brought the rings over, but then shared a look with Calum. He pulled out his phone and I scoffed, but then my phone dinged. Luke pointed up at the big screen and I nearly cried. His screen was projected on the screen. Double screen.

"hey mikey get up here we're gonna play fifa"

I covered my mouth with my hands and I started to cry. Luke, Michael & Ash started to play 'You' by the 1975 before I texted back,

"play what now?"

He smiled and then texted me back.

"wrong number, super sorry."

I shook my head and typed back furiously.

"kiss me idiot."

And he leaned forwards and kissed me, while we both fumbled to put on each others' wedding ring. And once we pulled apart, I could see him crying.

He pulled me over to the microphone and then sighed before smiling, "This is my wife. I'm her husband. I'm probably going to be the worst husband ever but I'm gonna try because," he paused. "Cause I love her with all my heart. And I'm so glad that I accidentally texted her because my life would have been horrible if I hadn't."

"I would have been just fine!" I joked as I wiped my tears. "I'm joking, but I also want to say something."

He nodded.

"If Calum hadn't texted me on that day at 2am than I probably wouldn't be here and that's kind of scary. Because I'm so glad to be here. I'm so glad to love someone like him. And I'm really shook right now so I can't think straight but,"

"I love you." We both said in unison, and then he kissed me.

"Get a room!" Michael yelled into the microphone and all the fans laughed.

"Alright, alright. We're gonna play one last song," Luke giggled. "I know we said the last one was the other one but now we're going to play one more because Calum wants to for his lover."

"What song, Calum?"

"Well," He sighed and laughed a little. "Thank you Brendon for this song, because we're going to play Death of A Bachelor because it's officially the death of a bachelor. Except she's not wearing a dress, and I'm not going to drink. Except, not on stage. This is Death of A Bachelor by Panic! At the Disco."

They started to play it and the crowd sang along and it was perfect. I finally, for the first time, felt home.

And as he sang into the microphone with his eyes on me, I thanked whoever was up there for the millionth time that he sent me that text,  on that fateful day.
