This is probably really creepy, but he's just so freaking adorable, I think to myself as I watch Tyler sleep next to me, occasionally shivering or twitching, in which case I make sure my arms are securely enveloped around his small frame. I wouldn't want him to be cold, despite the blanket, his feet feel like blocks of ice against my own.

The tranquil expression resting on his face is unbelievably relaxing. His captivating features are so still, giving me all the time to adore them, and I don't waste a second. I place a kiss atop his head of ruffled brown hair, just because I can't not kiss him every once in a while. His set of thick, dark lashes cast shadows on the smooth skin beneath his eyes, and very few freckles are scattered across his prominent cheekbones. His lips sit slightly parted, a continual pattern of child-like breaths escaping them as he sleeps. As the sun ruses, it begins to illuminate the room, accentuating the literal perfection sleeping just beside me.

"Josh?" Tyler's sweet voice fills my ears suddenly, causing my lips to curl into an involuntary smile. His voice is raspy, still laced thick with sleep. I could just listen to it for hours on end. Then again, his regular voice is just as mesmerizing. I wonder if he can sing. I mean, probably.

"Yes?" I say back. He just smiles, his eyes still closed. After a few minutes, he speaks again, finally opening his big brown eyes, letting them adjust to the light streaming through the cracks in the living room curtains.

"How'd you sleep?" He asks me, looking up into my eyes, rubbing his left one with the back of his hand. I stare down at him from where I lay propped up on one elbow, him still snuggled into my side.

"The real question is how did you sleep?" I question, referring to last night's dream. He shrugs, letting his gaze drop to where his hands lay against my chest, fiddling around with the fabric of my t-shirt.

"I slept better than I have in a long time, honestly. U-Usually when I have nightmares.. I won't go back to sleep that night. B-But I guess I just felt safe because I wasn't alone." His cheeks tint a light pink as he breaks eye contact again. The grin on my face only widens at this.

"I'm happy that you slept decently, Ty." I say as I lean down to press a small kiss to his forehead, finding that the warmth is a substantial contrast from the coolness of his hands and feet. His cheeks flush even more and he still won't make eye contact, though his smile grows. I wonder to myself if I'm the only one who has this affect on him, or if he's just naturally that way. Either way, it's absolutely adorable.

"I just remembered something.." The previously giddy boy next to me says, his smile fading into a deep frown, mine doing the same.

"What's wrong, Tyler?" I ask, worry laced in the fine lines of every word, concerned about his sudden change in mood.

"I have to work today. I mean, i-it's not like, a huge deal or anything, b-but I was just looking forward to actually enjoying my day.." He explains, throwing in an unconvincing chuckle to hide his discomfort and dread.

"Why don't you call off today? We can do something together." I suggest, seemingly cheering him right up, but not for long.

"Josh, you don't have to waste your whole day with-"

"Let me cut you off right there, prettyboy, first of all, I don't have to, you're right. But I will, because I like you, and I love being around you. Second, it would not be a waste of my day. You're the only person I have any interest in spending my time with." I infer, causing him to smile his signature toothy smile, the one that I'd do anything to see. He looks down at his hands as his cheeks flush red once again.
