Taylor shocked; Oh. My bad.

Felix; no. It's fine. We broke up mutually.

Taylor; yeah. I wish, mine wasn't so mutual. My husband didn't know how to keep it in his pants.

Felix; no. I'm getting registered to work.

Phoenix kissing Mays hand; how do you do?

May; Alright then Prince charming. Angel you better lock it down. He won't last long around here being single.

Angel; May get on somewhere.

May walks away. The 2 just stare at each other. Both are pleased with how the other has developed.

Angel; sorry. I gotta get back to work.

Phoenix; well I don't start till next week but maybe we can do lunch.

Angel; I'd like that. I take my break at 3.

Phoenix; Alright. Later

Angel, even with a pending divorce and death, was as giddy as a school girl. Time flew in anticipation of this date. That is until the final hour. It crept extremely slow that last hour.

Phoenix showed up with a rose in hand. Angel blushed as she stepped out and saw him. He took her hand and lead her to his rental car.

Angel; wow! You riding nice.

Phoenix lol; this a rental. I move around so much for work that I don't own a car.

Angel; oh. Ok then. So, what exactly are you gone be doing here?

Phoenix opens the door for Angel. They get in and take off. Phoenix begins to explain his position.

Phoenix; my job is technically inventory. I go thru the whole hospital, well me and another guy, to see what is there and what is needed. Then we send off a report. While I only get paid for that, I help out all around.

Angel; wow! Gone then Superman! Lol

Phoenix; Superman? I thought I was Phoenix?

Angel; I guess so. Lol. So what you mean you help out all around? You ride the clock?

Phoenix; I wish. I don't get paid hourly. It's more like salary. Get the same pay no matter what. Plus expenses. Like this car and food money. I have a set time frame based off the size of the hospital. We have 3 weeks here but that's starting next week so I have about 4.

Angel blushes at the thought of him being there about a month. He looks at her and smile. They pull into a local diner. Phoenix again takes her hand and leads her in.

They go sit in a booth they sat in as kids. Phoenix orders for both of them. It was there favourite meals as kids.

Angel; so why did you come early?

Phoenix; oh yeah. I heard about your grandpa. I wanted to come early to help out in anyway I can and be here for the funeral. I miss gramps.

Angel frowning; oh yeah. Me too. Thank you for coming.

Phoenix; sorry. I didn't mean to make you frown. I was surprised you was at work with all this going on.

Angel; it's ok. I had to do something, sitting around with no support wasn't helping.

Phoenix stands up with his fists to his waist; have no fear Phoenix is here!

Angel bursts out in laughter. She hasn't laughed this hard in forever. They eat and talk. Phoenix drops her back off and head to his hotel.
