One Year Later

Jack has been grieving over Copper for the past twelve months. He hasn't gotten over it in the slightest. He never saw Tux again, repainted his walls so they wouldn't remind him, threw away his pillows, cut off all communication and interaction...

He was alone.

Again.

He fell back into old habits, just when he thought he was getting better. He hated his life, he regretted his choices, and he hates the fact that he doesn't have his friend anymore... his hope. He wanted his happiness again. He wanted to feel happy. He wanted to be happy... but he couldn't. No matter how hard he tried, he ended up in the same place..

The start.

At least Jack learned a valuable lesson... because there's one thing that he knows now is true:

"Betray a friend, and you'll often find you have ruined yourself." - Aesop
