Chapter 12

A/N: Sorry for the update being so late! Consider this a Halloween gift. Welp, here I go! 

=Maka's POV=

"Whoa..... is that Tsubaki? And BlackStar? That's so cute!" I say, watching them finally acting like they have sense....." 

"Maka? Did you hear? Asura's on his way..... better watch out..... you slayed him once, so he might be gunning for you from second one!" he smirks.

"Oh quiet, you! besides, as long as our Resonance is this high, we'll beat him, no sweat!" she says with a confident smile.

"Yeah, I guess so......" Soul smiles, tilting that old white headband I loved so much. "Besides, I'd do anything to protect my meister! Hell, I took a sword for you!" he laughs. "That kishin isn't cool enough to get on our level anyways!" he says as the waiter comes over. 

"What would you like to order? Say it, now!" A strict female voice barks. I look up and see her, the uptight deathscythe.

"Hello Azusa." I say in a bummed voice. All it takes is a sentence from her to ruin your day. 

"Yeah, hi. What do you want?" she asks, a little more politely. 

"Uhhhh..... garden salad!" 

"And for you Soul Eater?" 

"Got any more souls?" he smirked.

"I always saved one for you soul." she chuckles, which I've never seen her do, and she leaves to go get it."

"Soul? For another topic..... Why did you love her instead of me?" I ask, tilting my head.

=Soul's POV= 

"She looked beautiful and always did..... so I fell in love with her. I mean, she's the perfect mix. Curvy, and nice. Couldn't pass it up...." I replied.

She looked down in self-pity and shame. "So.... I'm NOT the perfect mix....." she sighs.

"Yes you are. You're really nice."

"So is she." she said looking down. 

"But she doesn't have my heart...." I move in closer to her face. "And that makes all the difference." I smirk as I kissed her. Then I felt something in my mouth.... a tongue? Man, she IS cool! I do the same as she starts to unzip my jacket. 

"N-no Maka...." I said quietly and she stops.

"O-oh..." she said.

"Not now...." 

"Wait... NOW? As in later we can-" 

"Yes." 

The smile on her face.... priceless.... she makes me so happy.... but I have to play it slow. 

Our food arrives. 

=Tsubaki's POV= 

I see how my mini-sex session with my "boyfriend" didn't work. I can't make him jealous... damn it. But I'll keep this up... pretending to like him..... then I'll make Soul jealous..... then he will be MINE again. Not being with him is driving me insane..... We left and went to a Karaoke Club, bringing Soul and Maka with us. Soul brung an electric guitar and played with a drummer and bassist.

=Soul's POV=

"HELLO DEATH CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I yell as the "crowd" rages. 

"Woohoo! You got it, Soul!" Star shouts.

"Good luck, Soul!" Maka stares, giving an innocent wave. I start playing the guitar. 

"This song.... is dedicated to Asura from... Stein!" I yell pointing at Stein, sitting with the rest of the gang.
