Chapter 15 (A Christmas Special)

=Soul's POV=  

I'm wrapping 9 presents, laughing at Maka, she was wrapping 2. "Hahaha! You love him admit it!" I keep laughing. "SHUT UP SOUL! I HAVE TO FOR THE SECRET SANTA PARTY!" she yells.

"Nag, Nag, Nag. You only need to give him one, not two. My presents, and your presents are under the tree, as are Blair's "toys". So why are you wrapping two for HIM?" I laugh harder.

"Well, why are you wrapping 10?! You must like everyone there!" she rebuttals.

"I got Black☆Star. But I'm giving everyone something because if I didn't, his gift wouldn't be NEARLY as fun." I say wrapping the last one. "But both of your presents say, To: Spirit! You love him or else you wouldn't give him two!" I laugh and fall on the floor. "I don't love him!" she pouts. "Oh yeah, then why'd you give him two?" I give a sidesmirk.

=Maka's POV=

I didn't FULLY love Spirit. I did trust him though. I love him a little because I realized at Thanksgiving dinner, that he had always loved me and had always believed in me since I was an infant, so, I returned the favor my giving him two presents. Then I zoned back in to reality. "Why did you get him two then?" I see his sidesmirk which I loved so much and I just kissed him and walked off, pretending nothing happened, and he laughed. "You're lucky you're a great kisser." he said, making me blush as I walked to the door. "Tsubaki assigned us with bringing baked goods so I must go shopping. Bye!" I said, tomato faced.

45 minutes later, I return with baking goods and got baking, already properly dressed for the party in one hour. It was time for my other favorite pass-time: Speed Baking.

It didn't take my soul sensing powers to know Soul and Blair we're right behind me. They were breathing down my neck! Ugh! They were too close for comfort. I could see a strand of purple hair off the corner of my eye as I felt a breast rub up against my back. I then saw her hand reach for the bowl. WHACK!

"Owowowowowow!" Blair shrieked in pain.

"Ha!" Soul laughed and reached for the bowl. "I know she wouldn't whack her boyfr-"

WHACK! They never learn.

I finish. One dozen of chocolate chip christmas tree cookies, one dozen of peanut butter snowmen cookies, and finally, one dozen of snickerdoodle Santas.

We rush off to Tsubaki's house.

=Tsubaki's POV=

I wait excitedly. The doorbell rings

"Thank goodness!" I rush to answer.

It was Kid, Patty and Liz. They brought chips, Kid complaining about the asymmetrical ones.

"It's okay. Patty and I secretly have burgers." Liz whispers in my ear. She puts all the food down next to the candy canes I placed.

Stein and Marie come in with them.

"Hello, everyone." Stein says, holding hot chocolate, egg nog and beaker tea.

Marie waves. "Hi!" she says using her free hand to rub her stomach.

"Hows the baby?" Liz asks.

"Okay, I guess." she shrugs then smiles. "3 more months to go!"

15 minutes later, I hear knocking. It was Spirit.

"Hey there." he gives a two fingered salute to Stein and Stein nods back and shows a sidesmirk. "I brought banana and chocolate chip bread." he walks in and sets in on the table.

One more knock at the door. It was Maka, Soul and Blair. Theu brought so many cookies!

We all sit down and eat, then begin our Secret Santa Gift Exchange.

I open mine from Marie. I got a beautiful dress. The bottom part was dark turquoise and the top was a very light teal. I hug Marie and give Kid his gift.

"This is exemplary, Tsubaki." Kid says as he holds up the book I got him on Symmetry. Kid gives Soul his gift.

"I like it." Soul smirks as he holds up a new guitar as he gives Star his gift.

"Awesome! I got a 3DS!" Black☆Star says as he held up a 3DS, shiny and as blue as his hair.

"Actually, everyone got one today! They are on the table with nametags. Now we can text each other! Mine is red, Stein's is black, Maka's, Liz's and Patty's is pink, Marie's, Blair's and Tsubaki's is purple, Spirit's is blue, Kid's is black. But, Black☆Star's and Maka's have $30.00 in it to buy apps." Soul smiles as Star gives Patty his present.

"Yay! Yay yay!" Patty holds up a giraffe toy. She gives Liz her present.

She smiled and pulled out a fur coat, just like the one from their dark past. She smiled wider and hugged her sister. Then gave Blair her present.

Blair pulls out a new skimpy outfit, along with a rare and delicious fish. She gave Stein his present.

He opened it and has no reaction.

"What is it?" she peeked. He handed her the naked pictures of Blair. "GAH!" Marie turns red and sighs. "Hope it gets you through the last 3 months." she sighs.

Stein gave Maka her present: A small necklace of the academy.

Maka gave Spirit his presents. A 3-page note of forgiveness and a framed photo of them.

They all danced to "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree." enjoying this eternal moment of togetherness.
