The sun was rising. Tiny golden rays of sunshine were dancing on the ground, slowly becoming bigger and bigger, starting to highlight every corner of the big city. Some of them ended up even on Tyler's body, warming up his cold skin.
The blonde boy was standing next to the apartment buildings, waiting for his friends to pick him up. He was barely keeping his big blue eyes open, because he went to bed long after midnight like usually. And he definitely wasn't used to waking up this early.
He looked down at his black Vans, sighing.
Did I pick the right outfit? Am I overdressed? Or is it too casual? What even are the others wearing?
He was wearing grey skinny jeans and his favorite light blue sweater. It was a lot bigger than he needed, but it was soft and comfortable, and that was all he wanted. He had a black beanie on the top of his head, covering his messy brown-blonde hair.
Tyler was lost in his own thoughts when a black car stopped a few steps away from him. The doors opened, and then three boys got out, one of them immediately running towards Tyler and wrapping his arms around the shorter boy. "What the hell man?! We haven't seen each other for like a year! You grew up so much!" the brunet boy exclaimed loudly, pulling away from the hug. Tyler just blushed a little, shrugging with a crooked smile. "Yeah, I missed you too, AJ." He chuckled sheepishly. Meanwhile, the other two arrived. "Guys, this is Tyler!" the brunet boy, AJ, introduced him. The blonde boy just smiled and waved. The boys greeted him, too. "And this is Josh's cousin Nick," AJ nodded towards the brunet boy with sparkling blue eyes and a confident smirk playing on his lips. The tattoos on his muscular arms made Tyler weak.
Well, he is handsome. The eyes, and the lips, and-just wow. And I think Josh mentioned something about him being gay...?
"...and this is my step brother, Michael." AJ continued, slightly shoving the boy next to him. This boy was tall and skinny. He had stretched ears and a few tattoos, too. Tyler fell in love with his kind, brown eyes.
Oh wow, he's pretty attractive, too. But he's probably straight, so...
On the other side, Michael was a little bit stunned.
Well, he is the most adorable person I ever saw for sure. But he would never like someone like me, so I'm just gonna fuck off, I guess.
"Wow, I thought you looked...different." Nick mumbled, checking Tyler out, making him blush and shrug. "Yeah, and I thought you were older. You can't be a day over eighteen!" Michael chimed in jokingly, but the blonde boy just frowned. He always hated when people brought up his age, because he was always at least two years younger than everyone else. He skipped two grades in school. Kids were always making fun of him, sometimes even bullying him for it.
"I'm twenty one." He mumbled, looking down.
He's making fun of me. Do I really look that much younger?
"Michael, that was mean." AJ knew everything about Tyler's past, so he immediately stood up for him, confusing the hell out of the poor brunet.
Oh god, I fucked up, right? Way to go, Michael. This is so awkward. I'm so confused.
"Oh-I-I'm sorry, I-I was just kidding. I didn't mean it like-like an insult or something." He tried to apologize with a sheepish smile on his lips. "It's fine, Tyler is just really soft, sensitive person, right? And this is a personal topic for him." AJ explained, giving Tyler a short side hug. Michael just nodded and chuckled awkwardly. "By the way, I know you were supposed to go with Josh, but he forgot his phone, so he had to go back and get it. And then he's picking up the twins, they slept in. So you're coming with us, If you don't mind." AJ added, slowly walking over to the car, the others following. "It's fine." The blonde boy smiled.
Well, this is gonna be interesting.
