We all quickly put our stuff down and then scurry downstairs. We were all going for a hike before dinner that way we could work up an appetite. "So Lynn.....have you gotten over Haden's death yet?" Matt asks as we start to join the others. "I mean I haven't gotten over it, just gotten over it to a point where I at least can manage the pain." I say nonchalantly. "Well you're pretty brave for doing that.." Matt says looking down sadly. "Hey you never actually let go of it,you just put your pain where it doesn't hurt that much anymore" I say. "Oh....I guess that makes sense..." Matt says smiling a little bit. I give him a goofy grin and he gives one back. I giggle. Matt laughs at how my giggles sound. I playfully hit his arm. He pretends to be hurt. I laugh at his silly reaction just as we join everyone else. We all march outside and start down the trail. I decide to walk with Ray and Riley. "Ray,how about you?" Riley asks after our argument over whether its pecan or pecan. Sorry I don't know how to show you the different options on how to say it.... Ray shrugs content in her own thoughts. I sigh. "Ray,why are you so quiet compared to your brother?" I ask. I look over at her brother,Dash who's probably the loudest one here while his sister is probably the quietest. "I don't know. I guess he got all the voice and I got all the shy" she says shrugging again. "Oh..." I say. Soon enough,we're back home and we quickly get changed into something more appropriate for dinner since hiking boots aren't exactly something you would wear. We go get changed. It's kinda awkward for me and Matt to get dressed in front of each other so I take the bathroom to change. Once I exit,I'm confronted by a shirtless Matt. "Uh let me get a shirt on real quick" he says quickly pulling on a shirt. I nod and we both quickly walk downstairs. My shorts matched perfectly with my ripped up tank top and combat boots. Ray is in a simple black dress and Riley is in a white dress with a rose pattern along the left side going down to about her waist. "Lynn, why aren't you wearing a dress?" Riley asks. "It's not my style" I say shrugging. "Ray,tell Lynn why she should wear a dress. "You do you." Ray says looking at her phone. I smirk at Riley. Riley sticks her tongue out. I laugh and we go sit down and wait for our fist meal.
