Chapter One: Trouble Again

I finish cleaning up the kitchen and go upstairs and do my homework. When I am done, I brush my teeth and tell mother goodnight. I tighten the belt and set my alarm. I fall asleep. When I wake up, I'm in my neighbor's bed with my neighbors. They wake up and my mother comes and gets me. I wake up to Demetri yelling in my head.

I groan and say,"I'm sleeping Demetri. Leave me alone."

Demetri says,"Destiny get up and go to school!"

I groan and get up. I get in the shower and wash up. I get out and get dressed. I wore dark blue skinny jeans with rips in them and a black t shirt and grabbed my grey hoodie. I went downstairs and grabbed some Franken Berry cereal. I ate that and went back upstairs and brushed my teeth.

I grabbed my phone, iPod, and backpack and went back downstairs. I saw my mother asleep on the couch. I covered her with a blanket and saw a note from my brother. He had already left for school. I sigh and head to school.

Demetri says,"Destiny you need to get your grades up."

I thought,"What are you my second mother? I'm trying."

Demetri says,"Destiny you can do it."

I think,"Demetri if you wouldn't pop into my head at the most inopportune times."

Demetri says,"I just want to make sure you are safe."

I sigh as I walk into school. I smile as i see my best friend Luke Carmillo. He is talking to one of his friends and i smile. He is tan. He has a beautiful pair of dazzling blue- green eyes and black hair. He is toned and ripped. I remember him holding me one night when i was crying because it was the first time kids at school made fun of me.

After i thought i was going crazy, he was the only one that stuck by me. Everyone else like disappeared. I have him to thank for my high school life not being a living hell. The problem is i don't know if Luke likes me. I lean against the wall with my earphones in blasting music awith my hoodie up.

I hear Demetri say, "Get ready."

I'm confused but i shake it off because Luke is coming over here.

He asks, "Destiny do you want tol go out for dinner?"

I am shocked but i nod and he says, "I will pick you up at your place at 8."

I nod and the bell rings.

We both groan and say, "Geometry."

We laugh and head to that class.
