Chapter Thirteen: Fight Session and Field Lesson

John and I teleport back to the lair after I change into workout clothes. I set my water bottle next to my towel and put my hair up in a bun. John takes his jacket off and lays it over a chair. I take a drink from my bottle and John takes his shirt off. I stare at his well toned body. I lean in and kiss John. He gently pushes me away.

I say,"Training can wait."

John says,"It can't. Ultra is a lot worse."

I'm worried.

John smirks and says,"I'd always protect you no matter what."

I say,"I don't need protection."

He says,"Prove it."

We fight for a short amount of time. In the end, John has me pinned. I've lost.

I say,"Ok. I need help."

John and I go through several techniques, moves, attacks and defenses. We keep going on over and over again for a long time. Richard appears out of nowhere and I teleport to John with my hands on his chest. I look up at John and he looks down at me. I blush and he smiles.

Richard says,"Oh geez. Man can't you put a shirt on."

I laugh and have John's shirt and towel fly into my hand. I hand it to John and teleport past Richard to my towel and water bottle.

I drink water and John asks,"What happened?"

Richard says,"Ultra has locked onto Demetri."

John tells me to go home. I tell John to keep in touch with me through telepathy. He says he will and I go home. Then I see that James is in my house and he apologizes for the way I was treated. James then gets a call and says that he has John. I go back to Ultra with him and see that it is true. I see they are going to take away his powers and ask James to let me do it. He lets me and I go in and grab the injector.

John asks,"What are you doing?"

I say,"I'm sorry. It's the only way."

John starts to try to break free and knocks over a tray and I freeze time.

John says,"It's true."

I say,"I hope you can act real good."

I switch out the serum for some clear liquid. I cover the clear liquid and unfreeze time.

I look at John and say,"I'm sorry."

I injected the clear liquid into John and he starts to convulse. I drop the injector and the bottle breaks. I fall to my knees as I act like it is painful to watch. I feel tears slide down my cheeks and I get up and rip the straps off of him and help him up. I look at my uncle and he nods. I take John and we leave. I teleport back to my house. I appear in my room and drop John onto my bed.
