Chapter Two: New Information

I am back from the dinner with Luke. I go and get ready for bed.

I am asleep and Demetri yells, "Destiny!"

I awake scared out of my mind.

I groan and say, "Demetri don't do that."

Demetri says, "Go to the subway station and get on the train."

I ask, "Why?" She says, "Just do it."

I groan and get dressed. Then i sneak out of the house and go to the subway station. I get on the train and there is absolutely no one on the train.

I think, "Alright Demetri. I'm on the subway. There is no one here."

I don't get an answer. Next thing i know I'm on my back on the ground. I get up and look around. I see a guy walking towards a girl.

I groan and ask, "Where am i?"

The guy says, "Someplace safe. I'm John Morgan."

I say, "Destiny Michaelson."

John says, "You've already met Demetri."

He gestures to the girl. Demetri rolls her eyes and walks up tom me.

She holds out her hand and says, "Demetri Russo. In the flesh."

I smile and shake her hand. John then introduces Richard Kwon.

I ask, "How did you know about me?"

John says, "We knew because of your dad."

I look at him and say, "Come again."

John says, "Your father was our leader. He didn't want to have our race killed off. He saved me from them and then when breakouts started i went and tried to get them before they did. There are only a handful or two of us down here. That are safe."

I ask,"Who's us?"

John says, "Us. We're the Tomorrow People."

I am so confused.

i say, "I don't know what you are talking about."

John says, "You've been teleporting in your sleep. You think it's sleepwalking but its not. You have other powers."

Demetri says,"You should stop taking your pills too Destiny. All they are doing is holding you back."

I ask, "What are these other powers you talk of?"

John says, "Teleportation-."

He disappears and i hear him right at my ear saying, "For one. And-."

He's gone and in front of me again saying, "Two telekinesis."

A soda can flies into his hand and I cry out in surprise.

John says, "Lastly, "Telepathy. You have gotten very good at telepathy."

I smile and say,"Thanks."

John motions for us to follow him. We do and end up in another room.

He says, "Tim show the video."

I am about to ask who Tim is when a video shows up on the wall. It's my dad. He says that the video is for me. He hoped i turned out to be human.

I said, "Stop this right now Jeeves or whatever your name is."

The video stops and I walk out of the room.

I look at Demetri and say,"I'm sorry but my dad walked out several years ago. He never spoke to me about any of this."

John says, "Your father was our leader. He had powers like you and I."

I exclaim, "You are saying my dead beat father who was too weak to even stay with his family was a leader! You're saying he had all these powers and yet he didn't have the power to be strong and stay! He left my mother, brother and I! He told me to look after my mother and I. To keep them safe. He left with no explanation to me. He didn't even give my mother a reason why."

John is about to say something but decides against it.

I say, "Just take me home."

Demetri nods and says, "Take my hand."

I take it and next thing i know I'm in my room. Alone. I sit down and mull over the new information i just got. I fall asleep and wake up to my alarm.
