Chapter Nine: Home

John pulls away and I say,"Well, you know how to shut a girl up."

I cup his face and kiss him quickly.

He smiles and says,"I am sorry. I shouldn't have done that."

I telepathically say,"I'm not sorry."

He smiles and kisses me again. I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his arms around my waist. I then remember Demetri, Richard, and Luke.

I pull away from John and say,"John I have a boyfriend, kinda."

He asks,"What does that mean?"

"It means that my best friend Luke asked me out on a date two days ago.", I say telepathically.

John says,"I want to be with you Destiny."

I say,"I want to be with you too but I just can't break up with Luke just yet."

John nods and says,"I understand. But can't you date him and yet be with me."

I say,"I don't know. Yes."

John smiles and says,"Good."

I say,"Let's try that teleportation trip."

He laughs and takes my hand.

I say quietly,"I think we should keep it a secret from the others as well. Just until the time is right."

He nods and let's go of my hand. A breeze blows through the forest. I shiver and John takes his jacket off and puts it around my shoulders.

I say,"I'm going to get it all wet."

John says,"It's alright."

The others come into view and I say,"Grab onto me."

John takes my hand. I feel someone grab my ass and someone grab my other hand.

I say telepathically to John,"Tell Richard to let go of my ass."

John chokes and telepathically says to me,"Nope not getting in on this one."

I look at him and telepathically say,"Alright."

I let go of Demetri's hand and his. I reach behind me and grab onto something. I crouch and toss Richard. He lands a few feet away. I teleport to where he is and have my foot over his groin. He puts his hands up and I teleport back to where John and Demetri are.

John takes my hand and Demetri takes my other hand. Richard places his hands on my shoulders.

John says,"Alright Destiny. Just relax and breathe."

I do and I think of my home. I open my eyes and see that I am home. I nudge the others. I motion for them to be quiet and we silent cheer.

John says telepathically,"It's time for us to go home."

I ask telepathically,"Will you come back when it's clear?"

He says telepathically,"Yes."

I smile and they each give me a hug. John had to tear Richard off of me. I lay on my bed and realize that I am still wearing John's jacket. I sigh and fall asleep.
