The days seemed to tick by ever so slowly as I watched one Bucky Barnes remember himself. Remember that he was the best friend to Steve Rogers aka Captain America.

The man that doesn't follow orders unless he thinks it's the right thing to do, if he doesn't believe so he calls bull and then walks away not doing the order.

It was one of those days when I was able to get to Bucky before Hydra knew he broke out of his little mind control a bit.

"Bucky?" I asked cautiously as he blinked a few times and looked like his head hurt.

"Who's asking....kid?" Bucky asked blinking a bit at me, not expecting a child of my age would be here.

"You might be confused, I'm sorry about that. My name is Percy Jackson, i'm a very distant relative to Howard Stark, i'm his sons Tony's nephew. Long story. Anyway, you need to act like you're still mind controlled." I said trying to make myself focus on the point.

"Kid, what are you talking about?" Bucky asked clutching his head.

"Long story short, it's the twenty-first century, you lived from that fall from that train, I don't know details honestly. And we need to get out of here. Tomorrow we're being sent on a mission, it's during that when we can leave." I said hope lifting my spirits up for the first time in a long, long time it seemed.

"Kid-"

"Please believe me, just do whatever they say, no matter what because this is our change." I pleaded hoping that he would listen to me and not my age...or height for that matter.

Bucky looked like he was debating for a bit before nodding slowly, he had this blank look in his eyes that made me panic for a moment that he really did transform back into Winter Soldier but he gave me a wink and I sagged with relief.

"Tomorrow, you're get more details on the mission today but I'm already working on our exit." I said before looking behind me, "I gotta go, sorry about what they've done to you."

Sneaking back into my 'room' it was just a cell with a slightly-okay-bed-but-still-sucked bed in the corner.

There was a small bathroom that did allow me to be in peace, no windows, just an overhead light, shower, toilet, and sink. Nothing much that might be problematic for Hydra.

Splashing some water on my face felt nice until I willed it to dry, it always calmed me down especially before a mission but this was much, much bigger.

It was the day that I was going to help Bucky Barnes escape from Hydra.

That night I tossed and turned, most of the time I can live off of four hours of sleep, it's about how much I get peaceful before nightmares wake me up.

Most of the time it's the thing that Hydra would do, the one that made me feel hopeless like there was nothing outside the walls looking for me.

Just the same nightmare over, and over again.

So when I woke up, I was awake and alert. Taking a quick, cold shower I ate the breakfast they brought me and mentally planned the escape plan.

It felt longer in my mind than any other days, I planned every detail I could and the probability of that outcome (hey when you're stuck in a cell for a long time you develop stuff including reading certain school books).

So when the time came, instead of heading into the building where the sniper and binoculars were set up, we took a turn down an alley that doesn't have any cameras and leads to a popular street.

"This easy?" Bucky asked looking like it was way too easy.

"No." I said leaning against the corner of the alley exit that leads to the popular street bursting with people.
