SHERLOCK
With only half an hour until the court hearing I ran through the streets of Cheltenham near Suffolk Parade and hidden away was, The Daffodil. I hesistated when pushing the massive stain glass doors open. Pondering on whether or not was I willing to witness deceit and betrayal.

As I anticipated, John was yet again on another date, well engrossed in conversation with the woman across from him. "Her name...", I thought searching my mind palace, "Ah yes, Mary". After the encounter with Moriarty at the pool I found it very odd for this woman, Mary, Mary Morstan to appear at Baker street searching for John. The Internet was rather unhelpful in my escapade in discovering the origins of this woman so I highly relied on my abilities. As far as I could tell she was very fairly ordinary, an only child, shortsighted, part time nurse, cat lover, clever than most, and hiding a huge secret. Except for the latter, she was completely harmless despite this I could not shake the unnerving feeling concocting in the pit of my stomach warning me to be careful. I redirect my gaze to John who was shaking his head madly while laughing. Mary in turn just smiled trying to reach for John's hand. I wasn't upset I was exasperated. If I were upset... If I had half a mind... If I had let emotion get to me...I would ruin his date by posing as a waiter with an ink mustache. But I'm not. I am who am. I strode away.

JOHN
"You'll never get away with this you know", I protested. Not willing to let go of her in my death stare.

"Oh ye of little faith", Mary sneered , "I've got you, don't I?". She took a sip of wine, "Admit it. I'm growing on you".

I shook my head madly before I laughed sarcastically. "Nope. Not in the slightest". My comment didn't seem to faze her as she then tried to rest her hand on mine. I retracted my hand, irritated that she had the audacity to do so.

She waved her finger in front of me in a no manner. "Tut-tut John. Remember our arrangement". I slowly placed my hand back on the table furiously. "Now that's better. Regardless, you are subjected to a penalty. A kiss on the cheek should suffice".

I got up from my seat and pecked her on the cheek. As the waiter came by I waved him over asking for the check. Mary clearly perturbed grinned at me evilly. "Do you really think that's wise".

I nodded walking away.

~TIME SKIP~
I snuck into the court room and took a seat in the back row spotting Sherlock just as he arose to the platform to testify. I gave him an apologetic look, he ignored it. My absence for most of the court case had really gotten to him but I knew if I had brought it up he would get defensive and deny it. Probably proclaiming that the notion itself was absurd. So I sat there the whole time pleading to God that he would forgive me and that his attitude earlier about it better for me not coming had changed.
