Spencer's POV
I've been up all night, between being jet lag, drinking one too many cups of coffee at 1 am, and from thinking about Aaron non freaking stop. It's almost 10 am and I'm onto my 5th Disney movie since midnight. I have a bad feeling this is what i'll be doing the rest of the day.
I push myself to get up and get on with my life. I head over to my window and open my shades to get some natural light in my system. Right when I slide open my shades I see something taped on Aaron's window. I squint as my still sleepy eyes try to read his sloppy writing. 'Please let me explain... 732-***-****'
After I figure out what it says, I head over to my nightstand and grab my phone, punching his number into my contacts. No way am I having him explain this to me over text, and he's in school right now anyway. I put his contact in my phone in case I need it in the future, ya never know...
I yawn and glance at myself in my mirror, God I look like a beast...whatever man, who am I to impress. I slowly walk downstairs and immediately smell bacon and eggs and waffles and my mouth begins to water, my mom sure knows how to make it feel like home. I'm one step away from the end of the stairs when I hear another voice in my house, other than just my moms. I stop immediately as I try and recognize the voice...
"Hahah oh yes, and when Aaron finds out that-" her voice begins to fade.
"Mrs. Montgomery, Aaron's mom... Oh my god." I whisper under my breath. What if Aaron's there... No he can't be, he wouldn't miss school for this... Or would he? My thoughts shut up as I hear my mom speak.
"Let me go see if Spencer's up, I want her to come say hi to you!" I hear footsteps approaching the steps and I panic. My mom turns around the corner and nearly runs into me. "Oh my god Spencer!" She jumps back and starts laughing, "you scared the hell out of me." I give her a little smile in return. "Guess who's here, come say hi!"
"Mom, I- I uh, can I get dressed first?"
"It's just Mrs. Montgomery darling, don't worry," she whispers in my ear, understandingly. On that note I walk down the last step and turn into the kitchen.
"SPENCER OH MY GOODNESS!" Mrs. Montgomery lights up as she sees me and runs into my arms. "YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL AND GROWN UP OH MY LORD!" I smile as we let go of each others embrace, it definitely feels like home now that my second mama is here. I genuinely am so happy to see her again.
"I've missed you," I smile as we look in each others eyes.
"Oh, I've missed you both so much, and Aaron, oh Aaron..." ...oh lord, she's bringing up Aaron... "He's missed you so much, just wait until he sees you again!" She smiles huge and all I can think of is... SHIT.
"I have a great idea!" ...my mom has an idea, this can't be good... "Tonight after he gets home from school we can have dinner together, i'll go food shopping and i'll have a ton of food for you guys!"
Okay, can I just say one thing... I. Am. Screwed.
"Mom," I interrupt. "I think that sounds great, I just think we should get settled and unpacked first..." I say looking around hinting at the piles of boxes surrounding us.
"I mean I don't think they mind..." I give her a death look and I'm pretty sure she got the hint. "You know what, Spencer's right, we'll spend all day unpacking and by the end of the week we'll be all ready for you guys!" She smiles and Mrs. M smiles and nods in return.
