Spencer's POV
I'm sitting on my couch eating cereal while watching some kids shows, waiting for my mom. She took off from work today to spend the day with me. I hear her coming down the stairs and I look over to them.
"Sweetie can you be ready by noon?" She had just gotten out of the shower and is drying her hair with a hand towel. She walked into the kitchen to start making some breakfast.
"Yeah of course. So where are we going?" I smile and she turns around facing me.
"You'll find out at noon, won't you?" She giggles.
"Mommmmm I need to like know how to dress depending on where we're going!" I try to convince her to budge but she won't give up a word.
"Do you really think I care what you wear?" We both laugh and I stand up.
"Okay well, we better not be going to some strip club because I am going to go put on some clothes." Again, we both burst into laughter and I head upstairs after putting my cereal bowl in the sink.
After fishing through my closet I finally pull out an outfit. I put on some light wash blue jeans, a pink floral shirt, a creme colored sweater and some white vans. I decided to leave my hair down and just brush through my natural curls. I throw on some mascara, foundation and light pink lip stick to complete the outfit.
. . .
. . .
As I look at myself in my mirror I notice the yellow construction paper note from young Aaron that I had received about 4 or 5 weeks ago tucked into the corner of my vanity. I just think of Aaron every once in a while, but lately he's been clogging my mind a lot more than ever. I sent him about three letters in the past couple weeks and I haven't gotten a single response back from him. He always answers right away and now it's like he disappeared. I go over and sit on my bed and a stray tear Falls down my cheek, I just miss him and I don't even know if he misses me back anymore. He was saying how he wanted to fly down and visit me and then I haven't heard anything since. I seriously love him and I wish I could just see him again, but does he really want to see me again?
"You almost ready love?" My mom knocks on my door and I wipe away my tears and put a smile on my face once more.
"Uh yeah mom just give me like 5 more minutes." I get up and run over to grab my white purse and fill it with a ton of crap that I seriously can't live without. I throw my phone, a charger, some mini hand lotion and perfume, Chapstick, cash, and some other useless junk that just takes up space and makes my bag heavier. I glance at the clock as I'm on my way out of my room and it reads 11:48 am. "Mom I'm ready!" I shout throughout the house and head outside to the car.
