Spencer's POV
One month later
"Spencer can you bring out the last few boxes?"
"Yeah sure mom one second." I run back up to my room and walk over to the last two boxes sitting on my empty bed. I stand in the center of my bare room and look around. "Wow, this is really happening," Im still in complete shock that I'm actually moving back to the home that I've grown up to love and know. Don't get me wrong, it sure was nice living in California but I just couldn't part from the small town that held such a huge place in my heart. I sigh in exhaustion and grab the last two boxes and haul them outside to the moving truck. We leave tomorrow morning but the boxes full of our junk need to be brought to the plane tonight.
As I pile the last boxes onto the truck I slam the door shut and give the driver a sign that we are all locked and loaded. My mom and I stand there as the truck slowly backs out of our driveway and heads off to the airport.
"The next time we see those boxes we'll be on the driveway of 17 Maplewood road." My mom gives me a little hug and a smile, "You up for some Pizza?"
"Ha! What kind of question is that?" We both laugh and walk inside.
The rest of the night went by fast. We ate Pizza changed into the one pair of Pajamas that were not packed and said one last goodnight to our Cali home. We both drifted asleep on the couches until dawn.
6 Am
*Beep Beep Beep* I hit snooze and groan as my eyelids start to get heavy again.
"No snooze button today!" My mom opens the blinds of the living room, low-key killing me. "We gotta catch a 7:30 flight, you can sleep on the 7 hour plane ride. Now get up sleepy head!" My mom looks so happy, she must be just as excited as I am to go back to the place we call home.
I ended up sleeping an extra 5 minutes while she took a shower...(she never found out) and then I ran over to my suitcase and grabbed some comfy clothes and threw them on.
I didn't even bother to put any makeup on, like who the hell am I trying to impress on the plane?
My mom did the math and she said that we will arrive in Jersey around 4:30 (with the time differences and everything) . I also did some math (shocking, I know) and found out that high school lets out at 1:30 ish in Jersey, soooooo that means that by the time we get home, my good ol' neighbor will home as well... Just great isn't it. School had already started about a week or two ago so i'll just be coming in late... Also great!! (Sense the sarcasm).
