After packing a black suitcase to the point of almost not zipping, I go through my checklist of things I need to bring, leaving the rest to be bought on the tour. So far all the information I have is that I leave for Chicago, three hours from my home (Also the kickoff show for the tour) in two weeks. In the two weeks before I am able to get in touch with the band's manager about a meeting place the first night of the tour. I told him a brief bit about myself and how I felt after finding out about this amazing opportunity to tour with my favorite band. He said the guys "wanted to get a little more familiar with me prior to meeting" so I did my best to not sound creepy.

Thirteen days later*

Tomorrow I will drive my dark blue jeep three hours to a small vegan cafe (*if you've read Grey you'll know!) in downtown Chicago, Illinois to meet my favorite band, who I will spend two months after that night touring around the country with.

I take a seat on my bed, complete with gray and white striped blankets and a homemade pillowcase-adorned pillow with my favorite FOB lyrics covering it. I close my eyes and review the contents of my suitcase for the umpteenth time that day. I take a few deep breaths and review the schedule for the next day.

Pack suitcase into my car tomorrow
I'll leave about 2:45pm, so that gives me time to stop at the gas station, fill up my tank and grab an energy drink. I'll leave town at about three to get to Chicago about six, and meet the guys at the cafe for dinner. Everything else comes after.

I set my suitcase in front of my bedroom door, set my outfit for the next day on top of the bag and take one last sip of tea from my mug that reads, "I'm a book DRAGON. Not a worm."

I lie my head down, the kind of the next day, and fall asleep a couple of minutes later.
