Herma and Chunky finally reach upstairs. Herma quickly ran down the hall to Maria's bedroom. She was so upset that she slammed the door open not knowing that Clark was hiding behind the door. Chunky ran in right behind her. "Everyone gather around. What Chunky and I found out was awful. Baby only heard part of it, but we heard it all. Those two monsters downstairs want to sell Maria." she explained "What do you mean, to sell her? Humans ain't for sale, I've never seen them in the Department Store with for sale signs on them. I've seen big giant dolls dressed like humans, but only their clothes are for sale." said Clark as he still was checking to make sure his nose wasn't cracked or chipped,
"I'm telling you they are planning to sell her. Right, Chunky you heard it too?" she asked "She's saying the truth, I've heard the same thing. What are we going to do about them, "I don't know but the way Frank talked about Richard, I think that's what he said the buyer's name was Richard Anyway he made him said dangerous, He might be one of those, who carry that loud gun, I think that' s what they call those small machines. You know which one I'm talking about, like the one who killed my darling husband. Poor baby broke into pieces, yes he did," said Herma with sadness in her voice.
"Herma not everyone has one of these machines," said Clark "But what if he does, then what?" asked Herma "We figure out how to beat that shooting machine before it hurts us or shatter us to pieces."Said Tom "Now What?" asked Rosemary as she sits baby on top of the dresser. "Don't know, let's all take some time and figure things out, we can put our thoughts together and find a way to beat them"explained Chunky They all sat in their usual spot and began to think. Their memories every thought they had for later,
Maria was finished eating, so she cleaned up the kitchen and decided to go to her room. Before doing so, she had to let Grandmom know, Maria went into the living room to let her know, "Grandmom I've finished eating, so may I be excused?" she asked "Did you clean up?" she asked. "Yes, I did."Maria replied "Then go ahead child, I'll talk to you tomorrow, We need to talk about the summer plans I have planned for you," said Grandmom with a big smile. She muttered to herself, "Child save you worrying, you need it when you're sold."
"Summer Plans?"Maria asked "Oh don't worry your pretty little head about it, we'll take tomorrow. Go on now child." said Grandmom. Maria said goodnight and headed upstairs, trying to figure out what she was talking about. "Summer Plans? I've already had plans for the summer. That witch's being too, too nice, what is she up too."
Maria entered her bedroom. She kind of heard a giggle, she quickly looked around in her room, No one there accepted her dolls. She went to check if Frank was still downstairs. She glanced down the steps and saw him there still talking to Grandmom. She heard the giggle again. She went back into her bedroom and search under the bed and inside the closet. Yet she still didn't find anyone, "Wow, I've must have worked really hard that, I'm hearing giggling noises, Don't have time to keep looking where the noise is coming from. I'll take a shower first, then if I hear it again, then I'll continue to search.
Maria grabbed her nightgown and towel then headed to the bathroom. Meanwhile, Chunky put his finger to his lips, telling everyone, especially the one that was giggling to be quiet.
While downstairs.
