lindsey ballato did something selfish that day in december in the suburban home she shared with her now ex-husband.well,she did a few selfish things that day in december; like taking away the child she bared in her womb and not letting her go anywhere near her father to this day, well that's a selfish action that was still present but with good reason; because as far as she about gerard via mikey,he was certainly not doing so well.

especially with the forgetting lindsey part which seemed ironic since he had once mastered the art of forgetfulness at some point of his life, but now all he could do is remember and remember it all painfully.

bandit still interacted with her uncle on the weekends but Lindsey of course moved away from belleville as soon as she got herself back on track with her life and with the christmas presents that where meant for her daughter she had left behind 'selfishly'.it wasn't selfish of course but she blamed herself for it ever since.

but her daughter of course was just a two year old and she wasn't capable of holding grudges,a good quality to have at a young age and that would be a good thing when she grew older because then she wouldn't have to hate her dad for pushing her mother down a flight of stairs and for the scar behind lindsey ballato's ear that was left behind as aftermath.

another selfish thing lindsey did was look through the drawer.guven the givens it was her husbands privacy and did invade it,but she would have rather done that then be lied to all the time.

and hitting gerard was another action, but she actually regretted that one because he actually hadn't been physical with her until she was first.that just lead her to believe that she deserved to be pushed down those stairs, but all she did was slap him with a bunch of envelopes and pound on his chest to push him away.either way,no matter how angry they were at one another, there was no need to go the way it did.

even ray partook in the violence without wanting to but y'know, you can't just push my best friend down a flight of stairs and be spared and left unscathed.of course not.ray toro, unlike lindsey, did not regret his decision to punch gerard;and in result blowing off one of his mular sin the process.

but the most selfish thing she did on that fateful day of december- well, now that lindsey ballato thinks back on it selfish isn't the word she would to describe the act per say.the appropriate word would be none other than 'selfless'.

now,the most selfless thing she did; besides skipping out to protect her daughter from her seemingly crazed father - the most selfless thing she did on that december afternoon

was faking her best friend's death.

of course to some what lindsey did is far from being selfless, but what that minority had to think meant nothing because frank iero thought that what Lindsey did was one of the most fucking selfless and sweet things anyone has ever done for him.sure people have done selfless acts for frank iero, like the one his mother did when she carried him in her womb, not to mention the fact that she raised him on his own for a bit.

and amongst other things, but what she did took courage and balls, well; just courage and seeing as lindsey didn't have balls,a vagina would do just fine.of course he thought deep down that having gerard think that he was dead was certainly atrocious, but gerard had been doing it for quite awhile anyways and he was completely complacent with that,so it seemed he just had to suck it up and get used to it like he used to.

ray dint really approve of the 'fake you're death' notion,in fact,he was completely against it because it was a lie,and not just a little one.its a life changing lie,it's a lie that can brutalize someone and leave them bawling for weeks if they cared enough to do so.and they learned what happens to liars so ray only hopes that karma doesn't come back around an bites lindsey right in the ass for it.

lindsey had sighed again with eye roll so hard that nearly killed her when doing so,"ray,we get it; it's horrible and we should tell the truth, but he lied to us for so long,y'know? he hurt frank, let him get a taste of what it's like."

fank took a sip from his hot chocolate as he nodded in agreement with lindsey's words, only to be softly glared at by ray who held a sleeping bandit in his arms.

"how long did he avoid you for, frankie?"

"well,we broke up in twenty-thirteen and after that we talked just fine but then one day he just stopped so..." frank sipped again,"about,uh...about a eleven and a half months."

lindsey too sipped from her mug which contained some black coffee with a bit of a sugar overload,"hey guys?"

"hmmm?"ray hummed.

"hear me out before you say anything, alright?"she said as she took her daughter and placed her gently into the play pen so she could sleep.lindsey then stood up before her two friends with a concentrated look on her features,"you said he avoided you for eleven and a half months.almost a year, right?"

"yea."

"and ray; you're saying we should come clean about this whole 'fake you're death' thing, right?"

"it's the right thing to do,yea."

"so...what if we wait eleven and a half months to tell him the truth? it's only fair since that's the amount of time he cut frankie off from his life,no?"

both males looked at each other and shrugged at the suggestion.to frank it seemed pretty valid, but to ray,he really just wanted his friends to tell the truth,to be honest.

"alright.but make it a bit sooner, please? i don't want it to be a really long period of time an then something happens and you won't be able to tell him-"

"yea, yea,no,we can tell him a bit early.right,Lindsey?"frank eyed her with a grin as she pouted,"hey,i wanted to make him wait longer to but ray's got a point."

"fine,"she shrugged nonchalantly,"anyways, let's wait like two months and then we'll tell him or whatever- not a lot of time and but its not a short wait either."

"yea,i agree."frank cleared his throat with a nod, taking his mug in his hands again to blow on the hot chocolate that- as the name entails- it was fucking hot.

"so it's settled, two months.nothing more nothing less."ray said with a approving smile sent at frank and lindsey' direction.

"yep.now can we please watch 'i love you philip morris' for the fifth time?"frank whined with the urge to un-pause the film already.

ray laughed at him,"sure buddy.knock yourself out."
