Just Friends. (Jin x Reader)

You were excited as hell for Jiminie.
Let me explain.

About two months ago, your best friend, Jimin, had auditioned to be a KPOP idol. He loved music and believed he could charm the socks off those judges. To be fair, he WAS yummy to look at and his voice took you to paradise.

Ok, back to your current time. You were sitting on his pure white, fuzzy living room carpet. Well... Almost pure white. There had been a grape juice incident when you were ten but that's irrelevant to your current situation. You were anxious as you sat around his crystal coffee table, staring at the white envelope.

You: Open it

Jimin: I'm scared. Y/N, what if they decided I'm not good enough? What if Cute Jiminie wasn't enough? I don't know if I could take it...

You put your hand on his knee

You: Who in their right mind could reject the Charming ChimChim? Open it, I'm here for you either way.

He slowly slid the envelope off the table. He worriedly ran a hand through his hair as he looked at you. You smiled encouragingly and nodded to the letter in his hands.
He carefully opened it with his dad's fancy letter opener (he had told his father that he needed it for a special occasion.... Oh Jimin..). He slid the letter out and unfolded it, wincing as he looked once more at me.
He began to read, his eyes widening as he finished.
You stared at him, waiting for his reaction.

Jimin: Y/N.....

You: What happened??

Jimin smiled.

Jimin: I made it.

You tackled him into a bone-crushing hug whilst you both screamed your heads off. 

You: JIMINIEEEEE THIS IS INSANE!!!

Jimin: I KNOW, I KNOW!! I leave in two weeks!!

You pulled away.

You: Two weeks?

You looked down at your fingers, which were now laying on your lap.
You noticed that Jimin's smile had faded.

Jimin: yes...

You knew you were supposed to be happy for your best friend in the entire world but that was the problem... You were going to have your best friend in the entire world snatched away from you in two weeks. You knew you were being selfish so you stuck a fake smile on your face.

You: Well. I'm going to need three things from you.

Jimin looked up from his lap.

Jimin: huh?

You: You heard me.

Jimin: Um okay? Anything for you XD

You: 1. Take lots of "behind-the-scenes" pictures and send them to me. I'll be waiting.
2. Text me as much as you can and let me know ( #BTS song reference) when we can get together because I know we won't be able to see each other as much.
And finally, number 3. Don't forget about me when you're rich and famous and have girls drooling all over you.

You gave him a sad smile and he laughed.

Jimin: Yes ma'am. Also, for your information, girls already drool all over me.

You both burst out laughing you barely managed to get out your reply.

You: My dog doesn't count.

He pretended to be offended and threw a pillow at your face and you both started laughing with renewed vigor.

Man, were you going to miss ChimChim..

Ahhhh, so that was the first chapter of many (I think😅)!!
