Fight 44

So, I'm kinda hoping to finish this story this week (but I'm not gonna upload all the chaps yet). Yassss. But I'm kinda pressured about the next chapters so I ask for my friends' perspectives about my plot. So, yeah, crossed fingers. I hope you will be on the same side as me. Lol.

Chapter 44

Tahimik kaming lahat habang hinihintay paglabas ng doktor. My phone rang. Agad ko 'yung kinuha mula sa aking bulsa. It was Danica. I excused myself. I answer her call while walking on the hallway.

"Hello, Danica..." I answered tiredly.

"Ylona! Ano yung kumakalat na picture sa Internet? Why are you in a hospital right now?! What happened?" I sighed. She's obviously panicking.

But really? Ganun kabilis kumalat na nandito ako? Woah.

"Long story. But I'm fine... Don't worry..." I assured her.

"Yes, please, take care of yourself, okay? And about Darren..."

I frowned, "What about him?"

"Has he already told you about his plan?"

"What plan? Wala siyang nababanggit na kahit ano..." I'm kinda confused sa kung ano ang sinasabi niya.

"Oh, I see. Maybe he wants to surprise you."

"What is it? Really?" I asked her.

"Never mind, anyway, the bosses are expecting you here next week. I hope you won't forget about that." She reminded me.

"How could I forget? Surely you're gonna remind me of that everyday." I scoffed.

"Oh, yeah. I'm so doing that." Pang-aasar pa niya sakin.

I rolled my eyes, "I gotta hang up. Bye." I didn't wait for her reply and just ended the call.

I went back to my seat beside my mom and Tita Van.

"Nasaan po si Tito Matt, Tita?" Tanong ni Jean kay Tita Van. I looked at her. Namumugto ang kaniyang nga mata. I wonder what's between her and Bailey. It seems that their very close.

"Nasa police station... Magsasampa ng kaso dun sa driver ng truck na nakabangga sa kotse ni Bailey..."

"Uh, Mrs. May..." My mom started but was cut off by Tita Van.

"You can call me Van..." Nakangiti niyang sabi kay Mommy.

My mom smiled back, "And I'm Carrie and this is my husband, Peter..." She said while pointing to my dad who's silent at the corner.

"Kahit na sa ganitong pagkakataon tayo nagkakilala, it was still nice meeting you." Tita Van said to my parents. Napangiti naman ako.

"By the way, ano ba talaga ang nangyari kay Bailey? We're very worried nang nalaman namin ang nangyari sa kanya..." My mom asked.
