"Helllooooo" Char sang as I rounded the last corner and got closer to the car.
"Hey! The lads are all here, they're just sat with the drinks and that" I said. "They're excited to meet you lot but I honestly don't know why" I chuckled at the last bit to which Kathy did an extravagant shocked face and the others glared before we all burst out laughing.
Within no time all the food was out of the car and we are carrying the bags back to the lads, I'm carrying a cool box filled with burgers, skewers and sausages whilst the others have an arrangement of boxes filled with pasta salad and salad stuff, breadcakes, dips, sauces and even desserts! It's least to say they'd gone overboard with the food but hopefully the lads will finish it off.
"I'm so excited to meet them all!" Vicky said smiling to herself with excitement.
"Me too!" Marie agreed, "Well. Meet Andy in a more proper way than last time!" And we all set off laughing again.
Just as our laughter calmed down the lads came into view, they hadn't seen us yet as we'd followed a different path to the one me and Andy took. We could see them taking and laughing amongst themselves as we got closer.
"God! They're gorgeous!" Kathy whispered.
"You can say that again!" Marie added.
"Come on!" I laughed at them swooning over their good looks! It was fair to say they could all easily be models! As I laughed they must have heard as Andy turned to look and jumped up to help us along with the others. Good looking and good manners!
"Hey love, let me get that" Andy smiled as he takes the box off me without any questions and the lads all take the bags off the others before they set them down on the blanket.
"Well girls this is Ryan, Joel, Adam and you've met Andy...well sort of" I smiled "And lads this is Vicky, Marie, Char and Kathy"
All of them took their turns saying hello and sharing hugs before we all sat round and the girls started to unbox all the food whilst the lads were left to set up the disposable bbq.
"You got it working yet Brown" I asked Andy as the lads did seem to be struggling with the simple concept of lighting it.
"Nearlyyyy there!" He said whilst concentrating on it before the bbq started to smoke meaning something had worked. "See! Done" Andy shouted proudly causing us all to laugh.
The next few hours went by so fast, we all sat and talked whilst the lads cooked the skewers, burgers and sausages. It'l was as though we'd known eachother years. The conversation stayed mainly on me and the girls with the odd talk about where the lads were from and that they were all at uni in London together.
"Right, anyone for a game?" Andy asked as he grabbed a football from one of the bags the lads had brought.
"I will!" The lads all shouted as they jumpped up.
"Me and Vicky will kick your butts!" Marie laughed as her and Vicky jumpped up too.
"I'll kick your butts next time" I laughed "don't think my knee would hold out just yet"
"I'll hold you to that Green!" Andy winked causing me to blush crimson.
"I'm crap at football anyway" char laughed "I'll stay here with Lou" she smiled as the others ran off and got into teams. The girls were adamant to stay together and so they team up with Andy, with Joel, Ryan and Adam on the other team. Within no time they were running round and the ball was going everywhere but the goals.
"So you really like him then?" Char asksed, quieter to make sure Andy and the lads didn't hear.
"Yeah I do, I'm just praying he feels the same way" I confessed.
