       |Chapter Fourteen:Justin's POV|

"Demi tells me you have two appointments today?" I mention trying to start a conversation.

"Yeah, one with the gynecologist and one for my first ultrasound." She stated bluntly.

The soft noise coming from the radio soon came to a stop once the car did. Their was an eery and tense silence filling the air in the vehicle.

"You ready?" I asked in a sigh. She nodded in an unsure way.

Selena,in the short time I've known her, has never shown any sign of being nervous. From my observations I've noticed she has always been someone confident. Maybe she doesn't feel like she is, but that façade never ceases to impress me. I just wish she'd let it down.

We made our way to the tall building entering through the automatic doors. The cold gust of air, hitting me.

Reaching the elevators I pressed the button to go up and we waited for it to open. The silence between Selena and I was awkward and tense. That's how I know she is afraid or at least nervous.

We stepped into an elevator once it dinged. Someone already in there asked us for the floor number.

"Which floor?" She asked kindly.

"Floor number three, please." I spoke up.
The lady's eyes widened slightly. Selena shifted uncomfortably.

"Oh,who are you guys seeing?" The woman questioned as the doors closed

"Dr.Ochoa." Selena sighed trying to pull off a smile. The middle aged woman's nose almost scrunched up.

"Oh she's good, you both are expecting?" She pressed on.

Thankfully, the elevator dinged and the doors were open. So I just nodded in response before she embarrassed Selena any further.

"Have a good day." I muttered as we walked out.

"That was rude of that woman." I mention as we sat down in the waiting room, after signing in and filling out the paperwork on their clipboard.

"No kidding." She sighed rolling her eyes.

"Don't mind her. We don't even know her. You probably won't ever see her again." I remind her. She simply smiled, a sad smile, nodding her head mumbling a 'yeah.'

I'd do anything to read her mind. Girls always send mixed signals. One moment their happy, then about to rip someone's head off, and then bawling their eyes out.

I wish I had the powers of the  vampire off that movie Twilight. He was a damn mind reader, he had no idea how lucky he was. Mind reading would benefit those of us who suck at relationships

We were in silence for about 10 minutes, an early 2000's documentary on unprotected sex was playing on the small television hoisted at the corner of a wall. A nurse opened the door calling the name we've been waiting for.

"Walker-Gomez?" She called out, cracking the door open before popping her head out of it. "Walker-Gomez" She repeated looking up from the clipboard I'm her hand.

Selena quickly gathered herself, standing up in a rush.

"You don't want to stay here?" She asked me, seeing I was getting up after her.

"I thought that's why I came?" I asked, she raised her eyebrows.

"You don't have to, go eat or something." She argued.

"No, Selena let's just go." I shooed her towards the opened door the nurse held open with a wide smile.

"Justin." She mumbled. I, of course, ignored her and followed closely behind her.
