love on this story is literally the best thing to wake up too
Luke's POV
I walked out to the senior parking lot, and to the usual spot where I parked my car. It wasn't there. I sighed, running my hands through my hair and pulling my phone out of my pocket, immediately dialling Calum's number.
"This better be good." He said roughly into the phone, "where the fuck is my car?" I asked, annoyance clear in my my voice.
"I took a 350, man, relax" he laughed. 350 was one of our many codes. A 350 meant that one was getting laid, and needed a ride. Sadly drunk me last night was understanding.
I sighed again, hanging up on him and walking aggressively home. Taking as many short cuts as possible.
My phone buzzed in my pocket, making me stop on the sidewalk, to check.

wanna hang out later?I texted a yes to him and slipped it back into my pocket, my arm was grabbed. I flipped around and began to fight back, but the other was grabbed and I was dragged. "What the fuck!" I called kicking.
"Luke, shut up." A gun loaded, my throat tightened. "How's it going?"
"How's what going?" I asked and the man hit the barrel of the gun to my head.
"Do you have my key!?" He snapped, and I gasped. Holy shit, my mother is tied up in this guys basement, probably hurt or scared to death. 11 days away from her death date, and I forgot to stop that!
"Um, yeah, me and his daughter are doing well. She's beginning to trust-"
"I know you broke up with her!" He screamed, pressing harder on the gun. "I swear to god Luke, you have eleven days left. If I don't get that key, your mother is dead. No excuses." He spoke roughly, snatching the gun away from my forehead. I stood up and grabbed the strap of my backpack before hurrying towards his door.
Well, I guess I gotta get Andrea back.

I started with getting my car back, taking no hesitation to yell at Calum, then take some food, call a truce, and then leave his house later. I bought some roses - which I knew wouldn't help so I left them on the front seat. I parked the car in her driveway, our neighbourhood was dead empty, streetlights illuminated and the sounds of crickets flowed through the silence,
Andrea, surprisingly, was on the porch swing. That saved me a step.
"Hey" I breathed, shutting the door of my Mercedes and leaning against it, before raising an eyebrow at the girl.
"Luke what do you want?" She groaned, as I walked up the stairs and sat next to her.
"Some time?" I asked and she shook her head, and smirked cockily "denied."
"Baby, listen. I think we were both being dramatic. We got caught up, overthought shit. Forgive and forget?"
"I'd rather not." She patted my shoulder, crossing her legs the way they made us in kindergarten.
"Your not actually dating that toothpick?"
"does everyone have nicknames for my ex's? your a breadstick, AJ's a toothpick, Jeremiah's a noodle-"
"-Why am I a bread- you know what, doesn't matter. We were in the heat of the moment, we both regret it, we had a thing going"
"No, I'm not dating AJ. You didn't seem to be regretting anything."
"Hayley? Honestly I was mad, I was really, really mad. And also really drunk. If it makes you feel better, I regret it. And to mention it wasn't even goo-"
"Okay, Lucas." She patted my knee before turning to face me completely. I pushed the swing slightly with the one leg that was still touching the ground. She laughed to herself shortly, her brown eyes trailing around the stars in the sky.
I looked at her once again, she was so beautiful. In the light of the street lights she glowed, her lips were calling me like they could talk.
"Wanna take a drive?" I asked and Andrea raised an eyebrow, "that black girl magic got you, huh?"
