Luke's POV

"So.. where does your dad work again?" I asked, Andrea's eyes opened, and her hand grazed over mine which rested on her waist while we were cuddling. "Oh, he works downtown he owns a legal office."

Legal office? What the fuck, he kidnapped and is holding my mother hostage over an old man with a legal office?

"What's it's called?"

"Jhani's Law and Rights. Why are you suddenly so interested?" She turned around to face me, brown eyes staring me down making me nervous - almost as if I was on a spell. There was no way I could lie to this girl.

"Umm.. I-you already met my dad and I feel like he's the only person in your family I've never met."

"You've never met my grandmother, or my cousins. And you won't meet my dad. I'm not ashamed of you, but there's a high chance he won't like you and if he doesn't we're done. I can't risk that, I really like you Luke" her lips touched mine, leaving me melted into her touch. All my worries left me, all my stress. I forgot about my mother, my mission, that creepy guy. All of it was replaced with one single thought; I couldn't loose her.

Andrea straddled my torso, and began kissing down my neck. I leaned my head to the side, giving her some space to work with. I bit my lip to keep in an excited smile as her hands drifted down to the hem of my shirt.

I moved my hand to her back, "An-Andrea, we should go upstairs. My dad will be home anytime." I stuttered, finding it hard to speak when her undivided attention was on me. Yet mine was always on her.

She chuckled, "yeah. Let's-" her agreement was interrupted by the sound of a phone ringing. I rolled my eyes, and groaned loudly, throwing my head back. "Ignore it" I told her and all she did was laugh to herself.

"Hello?" She said into the phone. ".... uh, im at... the library? yeah. oh. .... umm, okay, sure i'll be there in like 30- okay 10. bye, dad." She said and I restrained myself from grabbing that phone and chucking it out the window.

Brown eyes rolled, and met mine again. She pressed her hand to my heart. "Luke, my dad. He needs me at the office, can we take a rain check?"

"It's kinda hard to say no to you when your sitting on top of me."

She smiled, brushing a hair behind her ear. "Also can I get a ride?" She asked, stepping off of me and immediately making me miss her. She grabbed her nike windbreaker draped over the couch and slid that over her exposed shoulders. "Of course." I smiled at the girl, and held the door open for her.

The car ride was mostly silent, music played from the radio and Andrea just sat in the passengers seat on her phone - probably texting. I'm glad this happened, if Andrea kicks me out I'll just sneak through the back and learn my way around. And that's what I did.

"Bye, babe." I smiled, sneaking a kiss onto her lips, she smiled back at me and walked inside. I pulled my car out of the parking lot, and drove over to the McDonald's drive thru, ordering myself  an iced coffee because that's what I really felt like I needed before robbing from my girlfriends father.

I drove around the back, and parked next to the fence, before jumping it. I looked through the back door, which was open. From what I could see, they were out of sight, so I snuck in and almost as if on cue I began to hear them talking. I then realized they were behind the door, so I balanced a stapler on the edge of the desk, so when the door opened it would knock it over, letting me know when to run.

I went through his files, first. Then took pictures of some that I couldn't get to read, and then began to look around the bookshelves. I carefully peeked through the thick novels, in hopes for finding the safe. And then I did.

"Fuck yes" I congratulated myself and took a quick picture incase I forgot where it was hid. I lifted the steel case, which was so much heavier than it looked. I was embarrassed that I couldn't even lift a side off the shelf, and I was pretty sure the raccoons going through the garbage were laughing at me.

"Ah, fuck." I cursed, much louder than intended. The heated discussion the two were happening abruptly stopped, "did you hear that?" I'm guessing Andrea asked. "I'll be back." A deeper one responded.

My heart beat sped up, as I booked it out the door, that I thankfully held open with a brick, that I could lift.

The door closed before Andrea's dad could enter the office in which I thanked God, as I jumped the fence and ran to my car before speeding away.
