A/N- This book is in Dallon's POV unless otherwise stated, enjoy!
Hello reader! My name is Dallon Weekes; I hope you're doing well! You're probably wondering what the heck this little book is, so I'm going to explain a bit to you now in hopes you'll continue on reading it.
Well first I guess I should explain why I wrote this all down for you in the first place.
You see, there's talk in the governments here on earth and in Dimidium, where I'm originally from, to start keeping Curatrix a secret from humans.
I don't necessarily agree with this decision so just in case it is passed, I want there to be some sort of record about us that hopefully one of you humans will find.
Now that that is out of the way, I'll explain all these weird words I'm using that no doubt are confusing to you.
I guess let's start with Curatrix. I used to be one before I became human (I'll explain later). Curatrix look exactly like humans, walk and talk like humans, eat like humans, and reproduce like humans, yet we aren't humans. We're not from earth.
We're from a place called Dimidium, which is similar to earth, but we have much cooler plants and animals there if I do say do myself. We also have no need for cars, trains, or anything of that nature as we have the ability to teleport, which means our home has much more lush nature, something I really miss since I'm here on earth now.
Earth is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but it's not the same.
Anyways, as Curatrix we age much slower than humans, which is good considering our jobs. When we come of age, which is fifteen in human years, we are assigned an earth child that was born that day to watch over and protect.
When a Curatrix is assigned a kid, a special bond forms between the two. The Curatrix now has the ability to know when that kid is in distress or danger, and can teleport from Dimidium to earth and protect the kid. Or, the kid can call upon their Curatrix in their mind if they need advice or something else.
Pretty neat, huh?
The only annoying thing about all of that is there is no way to ignore a call from your human. No matter what you're doing or where you are, you must go if you're called or needed. There is no ignoring your human or that is exactly what I would've done and I wouldn't have had to take such drastic measures. I guess it all worked out in the end though.
I mentioned earlier that I am human now, Curatrix have the ability to turn human if they wish, but there is no way of turning back or returning to the Dimidium once you do so.
Most of the time when a Curatrix turns human it's because they have fallen in love with a human, whether it be the human they were assigned to protect or one they met while they were with their human.
I'm in love with my human now, but that wasn't the reason I turned human in the first place. I changed for a very different reason.
Now, I think that's all the technicalities out of the way, I might have forgotten a few things but I'll fill those in as you need to know them so don't worry, I'll make sure you're not confused. The rest of this book contains my story and experience as a Curatrix and as a human.
As a child my human was nice, but when he got older that changed. When he hit his early twenties is when I finally had it with his attitude and ungratefulness towards me and decided something had to be done. Oh, wait! I'm sorry, I haven't told you my human's name yet.
His name is Brendon Urie.
A/N- I'm so so excited for this book! I know this seems like a lot of information all at once but it will all clear up more as the book goes on :) special thanks to insignificantIguess for helping me get this story all figured out, she's the best goldfish ever ♡
