6 Months Later

Brendon's life was finally getting on track. He decided to pursue music as his career which a good choice considering his voice is absolutely amazing and it seems like he can play any instrument he puts his hands on. He can play guitar, bass, piano, and drums already and plans on pursuing more. He already has quite a few songs written and composed and I was insanely impressed by each one.

When he asked me to be in his band to play bass and sing back-up vocals once he gets things together, I agreed. He'd already recruited Kenny, the bartender, as well.

Brendon worked part-time at a café a block away from the music store where I worked and he did well there, he was actually a customer favorite which I wasn't surprised by at all.

Ever since I made him promise to talk to me whenever he gets anxious, his anxiety has actually been getting better. It occurs less often, and when it does it's not a severe.

Apart from the occasional scotch or whiskey, he's also gotten a lot better about drinking and getting wasted. It was hard for him, but I was so, so proud of him.

Two months ago, Brendon sold his apartment and moved in with me. We talked about this decision for a while before making it, and it has worked out great for both of us.

It was the middle of January when we finally made our relationship "official". We were both sitting on the sofa after I got home from work. It was about ten at night and Brendon was telling me about maybe finding someone to play drums in the band when I asked him. He had finished speaking and was resting his head on my shoulder.

"Hey, Bren?" He moved his head so he could look me in the eyes but didn't say anything.

"I think I'm ready for us to be a couple now, as long as you still want to be of course." I said while running a hand through his hair softly. I was 98% positive he'd say yes, but I was still slightly nervous about him saying no. He immediately sat straight up, his eyes bright and wide.

"Really? You mean it?" He grabbed my hand and gave it a light squeeze.

"If I didn't mean it I wouldn't have said it," I answered with a grin.

Taking me by surprise, Brendon lunged forward and smashed our lips together a bit too hard. Our noses collided and so did our teeth. We both groaned and pulled back, rubbing our noses.

"Ow..." I mumbled. Brendon gave me a sheepish grin.

"Sorry I just got really excited."

"Let's try again, a bit more gently this time," I laughed. Brendon blushed and nodded his head.

I softly placed a hand on the back of Brendon's neck and pulled his face back to mine, softy connecting our lips. I felt him smile a bit as he placed one hand on my knee and the other on the side of my face. I let out a small groan of pleasure, and that only spurred Brendon on more.

He broke the kiss long enough to shuffle forward and straddle my lap. Instead of kissing my lips again, he went to my jaw and began slowly making his way down my neck, searching for my sweet spot.

When he found it I let out a gasp and felt him smirk against my skin. He began to suck and nibble at that spot, making sure to leave a love bite there. My breaths turned shaky. I had made out with people before, but it never felt this good. I gripped his hips tightly and let out another moan.

I moved us so we were laying down on the couch with Brendon underneath me and re-connected our lips. Tangling his fingers in my hair and pulling, Brendon slipped his tongue into my mouth and wrapped his legs around my waist to pull me closer.

I broke the kiss and tugged at Brendon's shirt and he sat up just enough for me to slip it off. I had seen him shirtless plenty of times before, but in this situation it felt like I was seeing him for the first time. I was breathless.

"Your turn, Dal" Brendon breathed out as he started to tug my shirt over my head. I helped him slide it off and his hands immediately went to my chest and lightly traced downwards, sending shivers down my spine.

Trailing my hand from his hip down to his thigh, I gripped it and hitched his leg up higher on my waist and pulled him impossibly closer to me. Brendon's hands trailed around to my back and firmly grabbed my ass, making me let out a loud gasp. He took this opportunity to kiss me again.

He pulled my hips down against his and let out a breathy "please" against my lips. Nodding my head I grabbed Brendon off the couch, carried him down the hall to our bedroom and shut the door behind me.

The next morning my muscles were tired and sore, but I had also never felt more relaxed. I had Brendon curled into my side, his warm skin pressed up against mine, his breaths blowing softly over my neck. I let out a content sigh and softly ran my hand up and down Brendon's back.

My life was perfect, and little did I know it was only going to get better.

Brendon let out a small groan before yawning and stretching out his arms. I looked up at me with tired eyes and gave me the most pure, genuine smile I have ever seen in my life.

"Morning," he said, his voice a bit raspy.

"Good morning," I replied, planting a soft kiss on his forehead. We just laid there soaking in the silence, my hand running up and down his back and his fingers tracing small patterns on my chest.

"This is crazy," I said breaking the silence.

"What is?" Brendon asked, sending vibrations through my chest.

"If someone had told me a year ago you and I would be in this position, I would've sent them to a mental hospital. Yet, here we are."

"I'm not complaining," Brendon said softly.

"Neither am I. But, we do need to get a shower. You can't show up to work tonight smelling like sex." Brendon let out a loud laugh and sat up, running a hand through his hair.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Join me?"

"Duh."

Throwing the sheets off his body, Brendon stood from the bed but when he tried to take a step he stumbled and fell down to the floor with a thump. I laughed and leaned over the edge of the bed saw him lying face down on the carpet.

"You ok there?" I snickered. He rolled over and gave me a glare.

"If last night wasn't so damn amazing I'd be mad at you. Like seriously, this hasn't happened to me before." I was filled with a great sense of pride at his words, because who knows how many people Brendon had slept with before, but out of all of them I was the best.

Take that Ryan.

I stood from the bed and went to pick Brendon up off the floor. As I carried him into the bathroom I asked him with a smirk, "Can you stand for a shower or do I need to run a bath?"

He rolled his eyes at me, "I can stand it's not that bad."

"Ok, ok, just checking."

When we reached the bathroom I set Brendon down and turned the shower on.

"Oh my God!" Brendon laughed out, I turned back around, confused.

"What?"

"Look at your back in the mirror! Oh my God haha, sorry but not sorry!"

I walked back over to the mirror and glanced over my shoulder, and there were bright red scratches all over my back. And I mean all over.

"Oh yeah, well did you see your hips and neck?" I questioned with a smirk as I checked the water temperature.

I heard him let out a gasp as he looked in the mirror. I had completely covered his neck in love bites that would be impossible for him to his at work tonight, and hips had bruises in the shapes of my hands from where I had gripped them too tight.

"Dallon! I look like I have some sort of skin disease!"

"Good, now no one will try to take you from me."
