Prompt #5

Dear Margo,

You said that you weren't gonna do it, but you did again. Twice. You have to stop cutting. Do you know how many scars you have made this past year? Too many to count that you almost resorted to recutting the same scars. You even thought about moving to your legs. But how can you stop when dragging that scissor blade to your skin feels so good?

That scissors is your personal one for school, but you use it for your skin instead for paper. Bullying sucks so much. When they make fun of your big head and that you're a grade grubber. But what's worse when they made fun of your friend's death. It's good thing that you don't have razors but your younger brother found out when he saw the one big scar on your wrist.

"Why did you do that?" he asked me with furrowed eyebrows.

"I accidently scratched myself" I told him.

"With a knife?"

"No. You know the wall with the loose crack in the hallway; I brushed past it and got scratched.

"Okay" he said skeptically and walked away. You didn't like the look on his face, disappointed that you lied. He knew. Right now, you have to stop! Those bullies are assholes; they don't deserve your blood shed. What would Manny say to you if saw you cutting? He would be dejected and sad that you had to hurt yourself. RIP Manny, I love you very much. What I want you do is throw away that scissors.

Anytime you see any type of blade, use it for the purpose for it not for your skin. Think about how hot Matt Lanter is, or how about your mom always calls you from the other room just so you can give her the remote which is right next to her. It annoys the hell out of you but makes you laugh at how your mom is so weird sometimes.

Think about all the awesome music you have on your playlist and that you have great musical taste. Watch all your favorite shows that make you laugh; shows that make you cry but don't get too sad because it's just fiction. That club that you've been eyeing for a long time, peer mediation, join it!! You can do this, because I want to see you in the future in a great place with great people around you.

Part of this is true. I had a friend in high school who died and i was in a terrible place. i thought about suicide, even tried it with a safety pin dragging it to my wrist. my younger brother saw it and said that i shouldn't think like that. he was right and i haven't. the bullying part that they made fun of my friend's death is not true, exaggerated. Hope you guys like this! @figurative is one my fave authors, hair bands is just one of the best stories i've read!
