Chapter 5:

Adeline's POV:

I woke up. I could see Natalie standing on my right. She was stomping her foot on the ground. "It's time you woke up." She told me. I sat up. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. "Sorry. I was... busy last night." I lied to her. Natalie sighed. "You're father wants to talk to you. He's called you in his room. Hurry up and get dressed." Natalie ordered.

I nodded and got up from my bed. I looked around my room and then went to the washroom. When I got out of the washroom, I saw Natalie gone. I brushed my hair and got dressed. I thought of wearing a dress. I found a dress that was white with green and black stripes. I wore it and took a matching handbag with it. I got out of my room and went to father's study that was on the other side of the corridor.

I took a deep breath before knocking. I had to ask father permission to go to school. I wanted to ask him. I wanted to stay with brother whatever it takes. I really got attached to him after talking with him. I had only seen his pictures till now. I never knew how he was like.

I knocked on the door and heard a strict voice "Come in." I got scared. Maybe father was mad at me for something.

He never spoke with me like this. He always spoke softly with me. I entered the room and walked up to dad. He was standing in front of his table and had a big poster in front of him. "Oh, it's you. Adeline, I wanted to talk to you and Adrien." He smiled. I shook at the word "And Adrien." It seems he was going to tell brother about me.

"I have called him. It's about school." He said and I tried to stop the smile that was forcing to come on my face. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and I heard the most fascinating voice in the world. "Father, may I come in?" Brother asked. "Yes." Father's voice changed. Brother entered the room.

He looked at me shocked but then smiled. Luckily, Father didn't notice him smiling. "Sit down, Adeline and Adrien. I want to talk to both of you." Father ordered us. I nodded. I sat beside Brother. He tried to fake a shocked face. "Who is this, Father?" He asked. Thank God he knew that I wasn't supposed to let him know that I exist.

"She's your twin sister and right now, I can only tell you that." Father started. Brother nodded. "The thing is, I need you take Adeline to school. Natalie and I going on a business trip and we will be back in 4 or 5 weeks. I can't afford to make Adeline skip her studies. Your photoshoots will carry on. And I need her to also be a model for my designs. She will sometimes take your place." Father explained. My heart skipped a beat.

I was sooo happy! No father! School! Everything was PERFECT! I could see the pleasant look on brother's face. He was also happy. Father shot him an angry glare. "I need you to take good care of your sister. She isn't allowed to go out with boys. Neither are you allowed to go out with girls and I expect you two be in the house at all times!" He said. Brother nodded.

"You both are excused. Take Adeline to school and sit down with her. I don't want her to make nonsense friendships." Father said and brother stood up. I also got up. We walked outside of the room.

"I really really want to scream in joy! I am so happy!" I told brother. He laughed at me. "You seemed so innocent in front of father. It made me laugh so hard but I had to control." He said. "Everyone has a secret side. Like yours is Chat Noir. I heard you make cat puns." I said. He blushed in embarrassment. I laughed.

"That isn't me. It's Plagg." He said. "Sure. I believe you." I said sarcastically. "Anyways, let's go! We're going to be late if we don't hurry." Brother said. I nodded. I went to my room and took my bag in which I had my books. I rushed downstairs to see breakfast on the table. Brother was standing at the door. "I am hungry. Let's eat before we go." I said.
