Chapter 6:

🐞Marenette's POV🐞

I was sitting there. With ADRIEN. oh my god. I was sooo nervous. Whenever he smiled at me, I felt sooo... Happy but I am sure he thinks I am just a clumsy girl. I felt my good mood drown. No! I may be clumsy but I am a Hero!

"So," Adrien's voice shook me out of my thoughts. "Y-yeah?" That was me. Of course. I am so stupid. "Did you come for the project? I am sorry I couldn't make it. Did you guys wait?" He asked. Wait. He couldn't make it either? Oh poor Nathaniel. He must've been waiting alone. "No. I couldn't make it either. Nathaniel must've been waiting." I tried to say. Wait. I said it. And without stammering! Big accomplishment!

"Oh no. He might be feeling hurt. He didn't come to school today." Adrien said. I felt so bad. I felt like punching myself. "Let's just hope he couldn't make it either." I prayed out loud. Adrien laughed. "Yeah." I blushed hard. I couldn't stop myself.
"Why couldn't you make it?" I asked. He sat up straight. He rubbed the back of his head. I loved it when he did that! He was sooo sweet. "Uh... well... I... had a photoshoot! What about you?" He was lying. I mean it was so obvious. I sat up straight. It was my turn! "Uh... ummm I h-had... work in the bakery. Yeah. I had work in the bakery." I said. Finally. A good reason.

He must be thinking that I am lying. Yeah, I am not a good Liar! Even Chat Noir told me that. "Are you sure?" Adrien asked. My jaw dropped. He didn't fall for my lie. Please don't make me lie BIG TIME. "I guess so? Anyways, how's your father?" I said changing the subject. Thank God he fell for that.

"He's fine. He's on a business trip so he told me to take Ada to school."

"That's great! Did you know you had a sister?"

"No. I just figured it out last night."

"Me too! I dropped her home last night."

"That mean you were the one she was thanking by the name lad-" Adrien trailed off.  Then it hit me! She had called me 'Ladybug' last night. oh no! This is bad...

🐱Adrien's POV🐱

What was happening? She had called Marenette "Ladybug!" It was sarcastically but still. Nah! I guess I am just jumping to conclusions! Marenette may be a great friend of Ladybug and she might've sent Ladybug to drop Ada home. Yeah. That's it.

"Do you know who Ladybugs identity is?" I asked Marenette out of nowhere. Now she was not the same shy girl with me. Though she did lie. Why did she lie? Well, to be true I also lied. But, I had a reason. I was fighting with an Akuma. So was LB. "So a-anyways, where could Ada be?" Marenette asked.

"She must be baking. I was only joking with her but she took it seriously." I laughed. "I hope she didn't mind that we called her pun Lame."

Marenette shook her head. "She didn't. She was trying to make you laugh at her kid like attitude." She told me. "Oh. I really hope that's the reason. I mean I only met her yesterday." I said remembering last night.

The way Ada teased me when she found about my crush on LB. The way she cuddled with Plagg. When she became Chat Noir, she joked with me with taking my miraculous to Hawkmoth. I remembered every bit of it. She was really a great sister. I smiled at the thought.

I noticed Marenette. She was looking at her bag. She was frowning. "What happened? Is there something bothering you?" I asked her. She was startled. "No! I mean i-it's Nothing." She stuttered. It was cute. "Okay."

The next few minutes were quiet. She was very red. I wonder why she acted like this with me. She's so confident with Chat Noir. I really like it when she's confident. It reminds me of Ladybug. Suddenly, Ada stepped in. She had a tray in her hands. There were cookies in the tray and two 2 glasses with chocolate milk. Wow! My mouth started Watering. Yum!

"What! You guys weren't talking! What should I do about you?" She scolded us. Why? We were talking. "Anyways, taste my special cookies. This is the first time I made them."  She smiled. I eagerly took a plate and put some cookies in it. I took the glass of milk and started eating. Wow. These were good. I saw Marenette taking 2 of the cookies.

"Only 2?! Take some more!" Ada said. "Nah. Please. I am tired of sweets. My dad always gives my chocolate chip cookies everyday. He runs a bakery." Marenette insisted. Oh yeah. Her parents ran a bakery. Their croissants were awesome!

"Please." Ada pouted. "Well okay." Marenette took 2 more. "Wait." She said. Ada turned back to her. "Can I have More?" She asked. I frowned. She didn't want to take before. What happened now? "Sure." Ada pushed the tray towards Marenette. Marenette took 4 more and put them in her bag. Wow. She might want to eat it afterwards.

When I finished, I stood up. "Okay. You both have fun. I have got a photoshoot. See you later." I said. Ada also stood up. "Let me and Marenette come! I want to see how you do it." Ada said. I nodded. "I don't mind." ...

🌹Adeline's POV🌹

Marenette and I were sitting on a bench. We were watching Adrien's photoshoot. Well Marenette was. She was daydreaming. "Isn't it weird? No Akuma attacks nowadays?" I asked Marenette. She just nodded. "Yeah it is."

I took a deep breath. Father was gone and so was Hawkmoth. That's why. Father, more like Hawkmoth, knew Marenette's and Adrien's identity. He hasn't taken a step yet. But will soon. I was sooo worried. I needed to tell Adrien or Marenette. Or I could just make a formula that makes people forget. I'll go with plan A. It wasn't easy making a formula. Or I could just hit father on the head and he would forget everything.

The easiest was plan C. But I'll enjoy until he comes back. He was my father and it was hard. He only wanted mother back. But that's impossible, right? Even if he had all the miraculous, he wouldn't be able to make the dead rise again. It's impossible and I for one aren't keen on seeing that happen. I'll have to do something myself.

"Let's go." I heard Adrien say to me. I nodded. I was thinking for so much time that I didn't the notice the time. Marenette also got up. "I'll be off then. Mama would be worried. Bye." With that Marenette ran away. I was sad. "Today was great." I heard Adrien say. "I guess so." I mumbled. "What happened?" Adrien asked me.

"Oh it's nothing. I'm just tired." I told. He seemed to buy it.

As we got home, Adrien turned to me. "I'll go and visit Marenette as Chat. You stay here and don't go outside. Okay?" I nodded. I wanted to smirk. But, I was feeling guilty. I couldn't even let out a fake smile. "I understand." I croaked. "Are you sure, you're alright?" He asked. I nodded.

"I am just bored." I told him and felt bad for me. "I'll cancel the plan. I'll stay here with you." He decided. I shook my head. "No! Go. I'll do something like homework." I insisted. He nodded finally. He transformed into Chat Noir and hugged. "See ya sis." He winked. I just stood there dumbstruck. BIG CHANGE!

I told myself to stop being guilty. "See ya!" I winked back. He laughed but not sweetly. He jumped out of the window. When he was far away, I waved to him and shouted "Tell me everything when you come back!". He seemed to hear me. "I will!" He shouted back.

I went to my own room and drew myself on the bed. "Phew! Today really was great!" I told Nuru that was sitting on the desk smiling at me. "Good to hear."
