Well I thought I would sleep till morning.

Oh man, was I wrong?

Because, not only an hour later I was running around the house, trying to find the main door keys. Apparently my parents, being so awesome (note the sarcasm), forgot to take the house keys with them before they went to work. Which resulted in that they couldn't enter the house without me.
So, right in the middle of my sleep, I was woken up by the loud ringing of my cell phone.

My first thought was that a murder must have broken into my house. I was going to get killed by a murder!
But reality hit me fast. Who in the right mind would actually call me, invite themselves over to my own house just to kill me?

Now the my mobile phone ringing really was driving me crazy. Still a bit afraid, I picked it up. To my surprise it wasn't any unknown number or Liz (hey! You can't blame me that I think she is the murder, she is weird and who knows capable of many things!), but it was my mom.

Wait, my mom? What is she doing calling me that late? I thought, as I racked my brain for the possible answer. Then I realized that they have gone outside for dinner, they probably might tell me that traffic is bad so they would be a little late. I swear if they tell me this -
Oh wait, the phone is still ringing.

I quickly answered the call, just to encounter with rapid scolding.

"AMY!!! HOW DARE YOU?! I THOUGHT I RAISED YOU BETTER THAN THAT! HOW CAN YOU BE THAT IRRESPONSIBLE?! WE ARE SO -"

"Woah, woah, woah mom!" I exclaimed. "Calm down!"

Oops, bad choice of words at a bad timing.

"Calm down?! You are actually asking me to calm down at this time, when I could actually be freezing?!" My mom shouted, her voice full of accusation, making me hold my phone at arms length.

"Just what the heck happened, mom?" I finally asked, before she could start off with her ranting again.

I heard someone took a long deep breath. I guess it won't be long before I would be sent of to boarding school. Then suddenly the voice changed from my mom's to my dad's.

"Dear, just open the door and let us in. We have been standing outside for too long." My dad said, still calm. Honestly, I am glad for his cool temperament, though it could annoy me very much sometimes.

But what were they doing outside?
Oh, yeah. The dinner.
I quickly stood up and walked towards the window to see my two upset parents. One on the phone and one impatiently waiting outside the door.

"Yeah dad, wait a minute. I will get you." I said as I cut the line and ran downstairs to open the door.

"Oooh shit! Shit! Shit!" I cursed as I frantically ran around the house. My phone again rang and I answered it, not even bothering to look at the caller ID.
I knew it was my mom. It has to be.

"Amy! Where are you?!" She asked, flaring up. "I thought you were getting the door! Where did you went? Narnia?" She ask all sarcastic.

"No mom, not Narnia." I replied her, as I threw another pillow behind me and searched the sofa. Where are you? You have to be somewhere.

"WHY AREN'T YOU OPENING THE DOOR THEN?!" She shouted, almost tearing up her vocal cords.

Oh boy, I am going to be grounded till I am eighteen.

I bit my lip. Should I tell her, she will kill me. And plus, it's not like I have any other option.

"Because mom," I paused and took a breath. "I lost the keys."
