Twelve

November 1, 2003

It's now the first day of November and our relationship has gotten worse. I'm trying my hardest to go back but she just pulls the rug from beneath me.

* flashback *

I pulled into the driveway and got out of the car. I had a bouquet of red and white roses in my hand. Today is the day where I'll get her back and our relationship will be great. I knocked on the door and she swung it open. Her hair pulled back into a tight ponytail, her grey baggy pants and plain black shirt.

" Janeiro, we need to talk this out because it's pointless that we keep on arguing over something stupid "

" you left, I told you not to do something you'll regret "

" Wait.... this is my house besides you don't even care about your own son, my mother says that you don't even call to check up on him "

" well lucky you, your mom cares " She said grabbing the roses out of my hands.

She slammed the door in my face and I was surprised because this was my house and I let her stay instead of kicking her out. But I loved her too much to do that.

I drove back to my mother's where I would get criticized about my manliness.

* flash back over *

I've tried calling her but she would hang up or ignore it. How can she do this, not even care about her son. Just because her mother doesn't want to accept the fact that her daughter has a son.

" Duke, you need to tell her that it's your house and she needs to leave " My mother said feeding Xavier.

" Mom, I know but I love her and she won't have anywhere to go "

" that's what's wrong with you, you care too much for - " thank god my phone cutt her off.

I got up to see the caller ID and it was Janeiro. My heart skipped a beat when I saw it.

" hello "

" Duke I just wanted to tell you that you can come home with Xavier "

" really ? "

" yeah really hurry up " she said then hung up

I quickly sprang to the guest room and packed all my things and X's. I took him from my mother after I told her what happened she told me a ' good luck ' then I placed Xavier in his car seat and the bags in the trunk and drove off to the house.

It's all gonna be work out.
