The sun was just beginning to set when Mason and I set out for the Carnival that was taking place not too far from my apartment. Even though I lived in the city so the pollution was awful, the view was still amazing. The clouds scattering the sky looked so fluffy, like cotton dipped in the pastel colors of blue and pink. They seemed so close almost like i could touch it if I reached far enough. I looked to my side to see Mason with her normal wear, minus the bandanna she usually has covering her strawberry hair. She didn't even bother brushing it today. Strands sticking up in all places making her hair look perfectly disheveled. A ghost of a smile creeped its way on my lips.  She notices me staring and meets my gaze, quirking an eyebrow in question. I just smile wider and shake my head focusing back on the world ahead of me.

The Carnival finally came into view. Well we could see the ferris wheel from two blocks away. But the smell of fried, unhealthy, artery clogging food filled the air. A clown stood next to a tank of helium with balloons tied to it. He gave a balloon to every kid that passed. The cheesy side games calling out to people to try their luck. Many, though, failed and walked off with less money and no prize. We walked in, and  the lights had me in a trance. Aimlessly following Mason. I snapped out and looked to her with a bright smile on my face.

"Thank you, Mason" i say barely audible, but I know she heard me.

"hm." she nods.

My eyes wander over to a little booth. The prize was a giant stuffed bear. My footing faltered and Mason noticed. She looks at me, and then follows my gaze. She drags me over and puts three dollars on the counter. $1 for one ball. There are three bottle pyramids made of three bottles each. To get the best prize you had to knock down all three pyramids.

"Oh, Mason. You don't have to. I just thought it was cute." i shrug.

she gives me a look and smiles. Knocking the first one down. Then the second, And the third. the Guy at the Booth hands her the White teddy with button nose, and Black buttons for eyes. To top off its look it has a beautiful red ribbon tied around its neck. She took it and held it out in front of me.

Looking down i hesitantly take it. A dark pink hue flushed on my face. "thank you, Mason." i smile a little

"hm" she responds. she leans down and presses a kiss to my cheek making me blush harder.

The rest of the night went quickly. We ate a bit of junk food, and had a few laughs. Now we take the short walk back to my apartment complex. I look back up at the sky to see Thousands of stars shining brightly against the blackness of the night. A cool breeze blows past. Shifting my hair with it.

"thank you for tonight, Mason. I had a lot of fun" i saw quietly to her as we reach the doors to the comlex

"glad you enjoyed yerself." she lets a little smile slip

i look down "uh, do you...maybe want to spend the night?" i look up to her anxiously.

she nods fully smiling now. I smile back at her and drag her to my apartment. Neither of us change as we flop onto my bed. I instantly cuddle her.

"good night." i whisper as i cuddle closer.

"g'night. love ya" she says back and kisses my head

"love you too," i say through a yawn.
