The next day my mother and I avoid each other. Seeing as it was her last day with us she decided to just hail a cab to take her to the airport. I watched with a frown etched into my features as she walked out the door, and out of my life. With the door closing I lean my back against Mason's chest. I feel her arms wrap around me.

"I'm kind of glad it's back to just us two here." I admit with a grin

She chuckles at my statement, "so am I." she spins me around to face her, "now I can go back to doing things like this." she says and presses her lips to mine. I smile into the kiss and delicately wrap my arms around her neck and lean into her.

After we break apart for oxygen i giggle, "I have to admit, it may have only been three days, but damn I missed that." she laughs with me.

As the day progressed we rested back into our usual routines. Mason makes lunch and we sit in the living room munching on her splendid cooking, and spend time enjoying each others presence. While Mason is in the kitchen preparing dinner like the outstanding woman she is, I grab one of my herbal witching books of a shelf and rest on the couch reading up on all herbal witchcraft.

"whatcha readin'?" Mason inquires as she sets the table.

"Nothing super important." i respond placing a bookmark in the book and walking to the table to help her.

"herbs and potions for the art of witching?" she squints at my book, "you-what??" she looks at me with confusion

"yeah, in case you forgot, i'm a witch." i giggle at her confusion, " i know i haven't really used it around you, but i never really had a reason to." i shrug

"do you like...do potions and stuff?" she asks placing dinner on the table

"well yeah. potions and manipulating herbs are my specialty." i shrug

"how did you even get into this.." she asks

"well, i was in high school and found a witching book in the library about herbs and me and a friend tried it. well her potion didn't work but mine did. and, well, it kinda just went on from there." i explain remembering the time.

"really? what potion was it?"

"i think it was a peace potion."

" a what?"

"a peace potion. It, like, calms anxiety and stress."

"how do you know it worked?"

"well, it was the night before finals-"

"oh okay that explains it." she chuckles

"i know, i was super stressed and-just- ugh." i exasperate, " so i drank it. and it helped."

"why don't you take advantage of your ability more often?"

"i dunno. it kind of just turned into a hobby. Maybe one day ill teach you." i wink

"I'm gonna hold you to that." she chuckles

After dinner we cleaned up the table and did dishes. We may have had a water fight during dish washing, but that's not important. Once we were done we went through out nightly routines and met once again in bed. I was back to reading up on potions and Mason nosed in. Time seemed to fly as i taught her the how to's on potion making. the next thing i knew it was almost midnight.

I laughed when i saw the time, "mason, it's almost midnight."

"what? no." she looked at the clock, "well damn."

" i know. where did the time go?" i looked at her and smiled.

"time flies when i'm with you." she winks and makes me blush

"smooth" i state

" i know." she kisses me.

i lay the book down, turn the lights off and cuddle her, "goodnight love" i whisper

"goodnight." she mumbles into my hair
