I pry my eyes open the next day to find myself in my bed. I knew Mason was strong but I didn't think she would be able to carry me. I blush at the thought of her carrying me to bed. Thinking about her I look over to her side of the bed to see her still sound asleep her ginger hair sticking up in every direction. Softly giggling I slide out of bed and skip to the kitchen while humming. I pull out the necessary things to make some breakfast burritos.

After thirty struggle filled minutes I finally make it to the final stage: the wrapping process. I made enough for us to have two each. I spread the filling on a tortilla I hum a tune from a song I can't quite put my finger on when two arms are wrapped lazily around my waist. I squeak in surprise and a laugh erupts from Mason behind me. I pout at her.

"Mason you startled me. " i look at her and giggle

"I can tell." she leans down and kisses me, "sorry about that." she says a playful smile still gracing her lips

"hm"  I hum, "it's perfectly fine." I smile up at her.

"It's about time you woke up, Breakfast is almost done." I tell her wrapping up the final burrito.

"Love you." she whispers resting her head on my shoulder.

"I love you too." I say matching her volume, looking down hiding the blush that crept up on me.

I move to grab a cutting board and some strawberries from the fridge and slice them. i half them putting half on her plate and half on mine. Next i sprinkle some blueberries next to the strawberries. To top it off i put a few raspberries into the mix. I bring our plates to my tiny little table. I see Mason strut over with the morning newspaper, and I put the news station on the radio. Our eyes meet and we both have tiny smiles on our faces. I never imagined my life going this way. Meeting a beautiful and talented girl and ending up living with her, cooking with her... being happy with her.

Sighing in content I pour us some orange juice and put them beside our plates. We sit facing each other, her glancing at the paper and me listening to the latest news. We sit in peaceful silence when she speaks up.

"any plans for today?" she glances at me.

I think for a second, " I do need to go to the store.." I pause thinking if there was something else. then I remember "oh! My mom is coming to visit."

her eyes shoot up to look at me worry swimming in her gray irises "oh.."

"don't worry, i'm sure she'll love you?" i say uncertainly

"that sounded so sure." she sassily remarks

"well I haven't come out to her yet.." i look down

"are you scared?" she reaches her hand out and takes mine in hers.

" Yeah, a little. She's a hardcore catholic." I sigh

"when will she be here?" Mason asks

"her flight lands at three today." i look at her.

She nods, "don't worry, everything will be okay. You aren't alone to do this." she shoots me a reassuring smile.

"I don't know what I would do without you." I smile gratefully at her.

"hm." she chuckles, "come on get dressed and we'll go." she nods, motioning me to go get normal clothes on.

"Thank you, Mason." I kiss her cheek causing her to blush and skip off.

As I change my clothing I think about the few days to come, If my mom accepts me then it'll be easy, but if she doesn't things will be a little more complicated. What will happen? do I let her stay and just ignore the issue or do I fight to get her to see her wrong thoughts. What will Mason do if my mom starts a fight with me? What will my mom think of her? this will be an exciting few days.
