No, the title is not a Beatles reference.
It could be, but that's not the point
I seriously started crying not long ago, and here is why.
Okay, so I've been listening to the Beatles for a long time now, but you know that. I've listened to some Anthology songs and I love those albums.
Is it just me?
Anyway, I have always avoided listening to Free As A Bird, because I always knew I would cry if I did.
Well, you know me, I ended up doing it anyway.
And I was not wrong about the result.
It just sounds so beautiful; but, what made me really cry was not just the fact that they used John's voice recordings, but also imagining how they were feeling while they were singing around that recording.
You have to remember, this was 1996. John had been gone for 16 years, and now they were using his voice recordings and harmonizing around that recording, and imagining what those three were feeling while all that was happening, like, all their voices were together again in this unrealeased, never heard of song, and that was ultimately what got me.
But, damn, I'm so glad it exists. ❤
