"...Well, yeah... I mean..-" Jessica started in a whisper not trusting her voice."Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant Jessie!?" Jane asked with a sad expression on her. Jessica just shook her head while her eyes were closed, and she slowly moved closer to Danny. She was resting her left hand on her stomach, and rubbing it around in circular motion. She wasn't even aware of it at this point. It just felt natural.
"Not here Jane!" Jessica whispered. Jane closed her mouth and looked at her baby sister. She had a big protruding stomach, and it was no doubt she was expecting soon, if you didn't know she was carrying two children inside of her. Even though it was a major shock for Jane, she still couldn't help it but notice how unbelievably beautiful Jessica was. She looked gorgeous with her swollen stomach, and rounder more fuller cheeks caused by the pregnancy. Her little sister was going to be a mother, and that very soon.
She felt a big lump building up in her stomach. It was hurting her that Jessica hadn't told her. They were after all sisters, and they had talked to each other on the phone several times the last couple of weeks. They were flesh and blood, and she was soon going to be an aunt, and she didn't know. Not before she saw her sister up close and personal.
Jane followed Jessica's request, she didn't wanted to make a scene at the Airport where everybody could see them, and most importantly hear them. She knew how shy Jessica was. That hadn't changed.
"Okay" she slowly nodded, while Danny grabbed her luggage with a little smile. Danny had a secure grip around Jessicas hand with his other hand. He knew the two sister had a lot to talk about. That had to happen soon, he knew how much Jessica was keeping inside of her. And it was only a matter of time before she would probably explode. They needed to talk about everything that had happened.
The car ride home was what most people would call awkward. No one talked to each other. It was silent. Not a world, not a sound.
When they arrived at Jessica and Danny's home they all quickly got out of the car. Danny helped Jane with her luggage again, while Jessica unlocked the front door. When they got inside Jessica was really tired so she sat down in the chair placed in front of the big window, with the beautiful view of the lake, while she closed her eyes, and rested her head back on the chair. "It's hard right?" Jane giggled, looking down at her exhausted little sister. Jessica opened her eyes, and gave her sister a little smirk. "Oh god, Yes! But it will be more than worth it!" She said while she held her stomach with both of her hands.
"I'll bring your luggage to your room!" Danny said with a little smile carrying in her red suitcase. Jane took her eyes away from Jessica "That would be very nice, thank you!" She said with a soft smile. Danny quickly left the two women alone for the first time in three years, before he went upstairs to give them some privacy.
Jane sat down on the brown chair in from of Jessica. She felt a big lump building up in her throat. She was hurt that her baby sister hadn't said anything to her about her pregnancy. She didn't really knew anything about Jessica anymore. It was horrible, and she felt bad about it. She had let her little sister down, when she should be there for her, and protect her.
Jessica was taking a break, resting her hands on her protruding stomach. Jane couldn't help but think about yet again how beautiful her baby sister looked. She was gorgeous, with that swollen stomach, and her much rounder and fuller cheeks caused by her pregnancy. She was litterally glowing.
Jane slowly moved her chair closer to Jessica before she placed her warm hand on top of Jessica's knee, making her flinch almost in fear. She felt bad, but she couldn't help it, that was her reaction. Jane felt like a complete stranger to her, she didn't know her sister anymore. To be completely honest, she didn't know her family anymore, and she didn't know if she wanted to get to know them again, if she ever got the chance to.
