*Aaron's POV*
Before the explosion I shoved the amulet on Zane. He looked shocked when he fell not being able to get away from the amulet on time. I dropped my sword and bandana on the ground. The note carefully wrapped up for Aphmau to find. I ran as fast as I could away from Phoenix Drop. I didn't want to face Aphmau after what I did. I almost died. She would hate me.
I decided to head to Scaleswind and hide there. I didn't want Aph to see me. She was just so different without Garroth. She would walk with hurt eyes and I couldn't bare to see it anymore. I loved her and wanted her to be happy and if that meant her leaving me... then that's what I had to do. I didn't know how she felt about me. But when I kissed her that night before I left and saw Lilith wake up and call me Daddy, I had to try to hold back the tears. I told her that Aph would take care of her and left. I didn't know what Aph did after the explosion. But I kept running and wanted to never look back at the damage I left in Aph's heart
